I tried the same thing, but got nowhere

on my macbook i couldnt get it working with firefox, however works perfect with safari.

try downloading the windows version of safari see if that makes a difference, or if anyone on here can shed some light on why it doesnt work with some browsers?

Same here- my home network isn't working now. I'm sure I just messed up the settings somehow.

What I did was Create a new network location with the proxy settings.

that way i can switch to automatic and it's normal.

Works with my senior citizen iPhone 3G (still waiting for iPhone 4 to ship)

Hopefully Apple doesn't remote kill this thing. I really don't plan on using tethering except in 1 or 2 circumstances.. and I currently don't want to lose my unlimited plan (just yet).

everytime i try to connect my mac gives me a message about another device having the same ip address. i must be doing something wrong, but i'm not sure what.

Looks like Orson3g beat me to it, I was also uploading to YouTube, but just cancelled.

I have uploaded the original video (from the developers YouTube account) as a .m4v file. Download below if you want it (23MB)

This will probably cause more grief for the developer than he realizes. Apple could terminate his developers agreement since they probably violated licensing terms. He has more than just this app out in the store so this was probably a bold and bad move on his part.

With that being said I did download it :D

I did the same but still have had to renew DHCP each time back to my home router (granted maybe if I just had a small amount of patience it would come back on its own). Have you actually switched back and forth?

His website says he's an "aspiring" 15 year old web developer. I'd bet that in the long run, pulling this stunt will be worth more than his other apps (which look pretty rudimentary).

yeah and not a problem at all honestly. But I do have a "Home" location which is a static ip. but not a problem with switching from tethering to automatic

This is basically the iProxy app hidden in a flashlight app. But, hey, it works. And now I don't have to worry about my iProxy authentication expiring (I got iProxy from a developer and so I only have 120 days before I'd need to get my authentication renewed).

I got it before Apple pulled it whoohoo! They might finally bring out the kill-switch for this one though.

I wonder if the Kill Switch is right next to the Refund Button? If Apple deletes content from people's equipment they should refund all monies paid in.

windows 7

Anyone else have any luck getting it to work in Windows 7 yet?

I'm still churning away trying to get it to work... I'm even (ugh) downloading Safari

Just to repeat myself -- the Apple Killswitch only turns off core location for a specific app. It CANNOT remove the application from your device or prevent itunes (the computer app) from installing it.
