unbelievable that we're 15 pages into this thread and a windows method hasn't been worked out yet.....
Can all you guys really be using mac books?
edit: thanks mrfsu
good to know they're are still windows users out there.
1) Follow instructions in Appshopper website
2) Manually set the IP for your laptop's adapter to something in the 13.37.13.xx range (xx = any number 0-255 except 37) and set subnet mask to 255.0.0.0
3) ****DOWNLOAD SAFARI FOR WINDOWS****
4) Change the settings under preferences>advanced>Proxies (click change settings) then click on the LAN settings button. Uncheck automatically detect settings, check Use a proxy... and click advanced. Uncheck use same proxy server for all protocols and erase all the numbers on HTTP, secure & ftp. Enter 13.37.13.37 and port 1337 in the Socks line. Click ok
5) Browse the internet!
Thanks to the developer and congrats to those who were able to download it
they pulled it. wonder if we can grab it on our jb iphones...somehow grab the .ipa file.
You don't need to download Safari for Windows though. Use Proxifier and everything should work.
The developer needs to release the source code. If he did, all developers could have tethering on their non-jailbroken iPhones! Not possible to kill switch that!
Found with a simple google search:
http://code.google.com/p/iphone-socks-proxy/
The comments on the app are a dead giveaway that there is more to it than a simple flashlight.
o and its 4th on the app storeand im review # 4
