I have over 360 movies in my iTunes library and probably 200 on uv through vudu. I love the Apple TV 4 and wish I could have all movies on Apple TV. Unfortunately Warner brothers doesn't care. So I got a cheap chrome cast to be able to do vudu Hdx movies. I definetly prefer the apple experience. But selection of movies is better with ultraviolet codes

Can WB Movies stream through the Flixter App?

Is there a dedicated Vudu app on Chromecast or are you simply streaming it from your PC?

Have a chromecast but never use it. Get Roku 3 or 4, that will solve many problems.

Yes. Flixster is part of UV, that said Flixster needs a complete overhaul, I would only use that if you are in a country that can't get Vudu yet.

There are really no dedicated apps for chromecast. You always have to stream from something. LIke a phone, tablet, or PC. But Airplay doesn't let you stream VUDU HDX content. So in order to get HD i Picked up a chromecast.

Good news! Finally received confirmation that VUDU is working on an Apple TV app. I recently contacted VUDU on Facebook and asked about their plans for the new Apple TV. Just received this reply:

"It is in our queue, but we currently do not have an ETA of release."

so at best just an idea at vudu hq...

That is good news with vudu and hopefully slingtv my new Apple TV will have the apps for more daily use.

I wonder if the hold up is, the Vudu app on ios devices don't support HDX so they would have to write a different app?

Maybe a reach.

Crazy this is taking so long. Can't they make a dedicated Apple TV app and just port over the PS4 version (if the hold up is on VUDU's side)

What is the boot time for the new Roku players like the latest Roku Stick? I have a big iTunes library but I 'm tired of using my Smart TV for Vudu movies. My Apple TV 4 loads up almost instantaneously but I heard mixed results for Roku.

Kendo the roku stick 3600 is fast in my opinion. I would say a hdx movie is about max 10 seconds to load. I am impressed with the stick for $50. I am still hoping a UV or vudu app for the Apple TV 4 comes out soon

I think the latest Roku 2 is a little faster than the stick and you can get it for $70 (I hear the stick is no slouch). The 2, 3, 4 and stick are fast and always ready in sleep mode like Apple TV. We've always had a few Roku's around the house for the occasional one off apps like Amazon, Vudu, Spotify and PS Vue. Even if all those apps eventually come to Apple TV it's nice to have a backup device. You never know when you'll need it. When Apple TV 4 first came out Netflix was a crash fest.

7 Months now. C'mon guys.

Wow, a lot of movies! You can save some by buying Vudu credits at a discount. Problem is you'll max your Vudu account out with that many movies. You'd then have to get into creating separate accounts and using the invite to add to the library. Probably more pain than it's worth.

I loved the d2d because it allowed me to get most of my collection quickly. I even found myself re-buying some things on d2d just to get them in UV.

You can max out a UV account? They limit how many movies you can own? That seems weird

No, max each Vudu account on the credit prefixes you can redeem. That's why most people open multiple linked accounts to be able to then max out the next account with a credit prefix. Anything purchased on the linked accounts that is UV ends up in the main accounts UV locker.

At least we can still AirPlay flixster video in the UK or anywhere for that matter to the AppleTV.

Wuaki.tv are also working on an app.

Bump. When Vudu/UV has an app, an Apple TV 4 is a _same_day_ purchase for me. Hopefully when (not not if) it does get released, at some point there will be a consolidated content view, so I can peruse my movies by title, genre, etc., all in one master view regardless of their source.
