It’s not for you, but it certainly adds usefulness when you can double the space at half the size.
It doesn’t magically get smaller. It gets fatter.

Here is a better idea: Original iPhone 1 from 2007 with M1 for $249 to $299.
Lightweight and small, pocketable, portable, and powerful.
And a garbage screen that’s way too small.
It was the perfect size for me and many others.
The current iPhones are too heavy and with too big screens, Apple now even considers bendable screens.
so three phones... you seem sold.We have two Z Flips and one Z Fold in our household. But after reading your post, I should doube-check, shouldn't I?😳
People who never had one should just stop speculating about them. People who have one, will most probably go for another one when the time for a new phone has reached.
I can’t tell the difference between my iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max I owned before it, and there was no difference between the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max I had before that. And on and on and on…
I guess doubling down on what works and keeping the legal department well funded is the way to go for Apple right now.Apple news sure is stuck in bummer mode right now. It’s either anti trust or project cancellations. It’s a bit of a draining time to be an Apple fan.
However… there will be a big difference between my XR and the 16 Pro I’m upgrading to.I can’t tell the difference between my iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max I owned before it, and there was no difference between the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max I had before that. Agreed. I couldn't care less about this product category.Postpone indefinitely please, quality and reliability issues with foldables aren’t worth it.
I’ve been waiting for a folding iPhone since like…2018. This is the most frustrating news.
View attachment 2363190We don’t need a foldable iPhone. We just need the same iPhone with minor updates to it every year. Keep this design for another 10 years. Lol. /s
Is that the Royal we?
Foldable phone sales up 23% last year.
iPhone sales up 3% last year.
This is the same as mini phones. Everyone complained they wanted one and they didn't sell and were dropped within 2 years. Apple doesn't want to make a product to fail if they can avoid it. The vocal minority on these websites complain and complain about what Apple needs to do, but the majority of users don't care and have no interest in buying it.
Yeah, it’s still a stupid idea. Phones don’t need to fold. It adds nothing of significant usefulness to the device.
They will definitely milk it. We will get those same 3 camera layout (minor camera upgrades to the lenses), slightly thinner bezels and new processor for another 5 years using the same design.Milk that cash cow while Tim Cook caught flatfooted by AI, perhaps instead of buying Beats for 4 billion, he should have purchased that AI company that Amazon scooped up today.
Oh come on, I agree that the naysayers here don't amount to much market research, but break out the raw numbers, it is akin to saying murders up 50 percent this year in a small town, when they went from 10 to 15, how many foldable phones are we talking about sold in 2022 and 2023?
To you, to me it allows one to do a multitude of things without opening the Phone and getting lost in a sea of apps, yes you can already tailor your phone to be more dumb, but the larger screen just invites time wasting trouble, to each his own.

No. It’s too hard to switch. The EU told me …Makes my decision to switch that much easier.
