so slightly more per month than the current pro max. I'm good with that. If i don't like it il trade it since i can trade or free 3 times a year.
And we know you’re going to drop it!Our most foldable phone ever
Another excellent point. Most people are probably going to finance. So in reality it’s not potentially $2400, it’s what ever the monthly payment they get. Carrier deals may make sense also. There are a lot of things we don’t know yet.
A lot of people are paying monthly now for their iPhone. Logically I would expect that to continue for the iPhone Fold as well
They are already moving to 36-month payment periods... why not 48?
You can. It's called Samsung Dex, and it is amazing. Hopefully Apple will do something similar.I won't spend that much on a phone unless I can hook it up to a keyboard, mouse and monitor and use it as computer.
I can get 10 hours of screen on time using my Z Fold 7, using the inner screen approximately 75% of the time. If you need more battery life than that in a day, it is time to touch some grass. The main problem with foldable devices is BATTERY life. Make it the same as the top non-foldable iPhone and am sold. BTW, Apple could use TDK CeraCharge solid-state batteries to boost battery life. Time will tell.
Since the Samsung Fold 7 is $1999 (before discounts) I also doubt that they will price it above that but whatever the price there will be those that buy it especially if carriers have deals when it comes out such as $1200 off with trade in of any iphone etcI highly doubt they want to launch above that $1999 price point which itself will be a tough sell over the $1200 pro max. Especially when the foldable will likely loose the camera features and overall durability of the pro models.
I’m definitely excited to see how they approach a foldable both in hardware and especially software. Every foldable I’ve played around with has felt more like a prototype than a polished device so hopefully Apple can nail this form factor.
For a fkng phone. Phones used to cost 100 and then 500 then 1000 and I think 1000 is the magical border were people start questioning the price. 2k is overkill. If the base price is $2399, upgrading to 2TB storage will put the price at $3199 😂
How can a professional computer cost the same as a gimmick phone with a plastic screen? Its because they can charge this high prices and get away with it because people buy iPhones no matter what. Not the case with Macs.My whole ass MacBook Pro costs less.
The gimmick. It can fold so you can impress strangers with your new toy.Aside from making calls, what's the difference between a foldable iPhone and a foldable iPad Mini?
It will cost 5 times as much as the iPad mini and it will do the same thing except folding. Here's the thing...it's a miniature computer, capable of almost any computing task. You think it should cost less than any other computer that is mobile and can do what it can do? I think we have missed a beat in all this tech. There was a time when a device with less than a 100th of these capabilities, and decidedly NOT mobile would cost 10X that, NOT that long ago. I don't think it's outrageous.
The person that downvoted this comment is the one that knows that’s them you’re talking about. There will be people who go into debt to get it so that their friends and strangers walking down the street will be impressed with their new status symbol.
Because the iPhone and its accessories are popular. And because Apple build a cult like following. People today spend 1k+ on phones without question it.A better question for you: How has Apple maintained such a market-share lead if they, as you say, keep missing or only make products for millionaires?
All these companies, and now it seems Apple as well, completely miss the original "dream" of foldable phones:
Foldable phones were supposed to solve the contradiction of having a large screen in a small phone. The solution is not to just make existing phones twice as big and twice as heavy.
Give me a folded phone in the size of the original iPhone with a screen of today's iPhone Max, and you have my interest.
