Samsung…you should be cursing everyone out on their foldable team.
The Duo has stylus support, UDC AND IP68 rating.
wtf…lol.

Even if you don't buy any Android foldable... you are still welcomed into the foldable world! And I'm impressed with what Apple has done... this will only push Samsung to get better!I was so close to buying the Fold 8 today but decided that I'd wait to see whatannounced, I'm glad I did.
My 1st foldable and I'm near enough 100% sure that the Duo is where my money is going come October, the software looks well thought out and the hardware isn't too shabby either.
it does have Magsafe built in no ?
Yeah, that's slightly annoying given how poor the switching esim from android to IPhone and back is with my provider. It normally requires a visit to a store to get things sorted. My only gripe with the Duo is esim only
They didn’t speak to it at all in the presentation so I was a bit worried until…and MagSafe. I missed that.
..I checked the Apple website which confirms it’s in the Duo.it does have Magsafe built in no ?
Definitely not the slimmest foldable but quite a margin (Samsung is still the market leader here) but as someone who’s only owned and used Pixel foldables, it’ll feel just fine to me. 😂😉 I’ll take it if it means including MagSafe.Man, as much as I love my TriFold, Apple really hit it out of the park with the iPhone Duo. Makes me seriously consider rejoining the ecosystem, lol. The Duo is slightly slimmer than a Fold 6 and about as heavy as a Fold 5, both phones I really enjoyed using. Some people already complaining about the Duo's weight but it really isn't bad at all considering it has MagSafe support.
How much are TriFolds selling on Swappa again?!?! Haha. I'm not making any moves immediately, but credit Apple for a great demo and first impression of their foldable. What I really enjoy is all the posts from folks suddenly considering a foldable despite the Duo's price. The 1TB would be the sweet spot for me. I like the Apple Pencil support, but not sure if it attaches anywhere (maybe with a special case).
Yup that's what I thought I heard but it was tough listening while getting stuff doneThey didn’t speak to it at all in the presentation so I was a bit worried until…

Yeah, that’s a lot of extra weight in a device that’s essentially the same footprint and 1.5mm thicker.But...
Weight:
8.96 ounces (254 grams)
Ouch! Almost 2 oz heavier than a Z Fold 8.

That Apple Pencil support is a winner! Edit: Quick check of Swappa shows the handful of TriFold listings selling for more than what I paid. However, demand will probably decline in the near future now that the iPhone Duo is released.
I really hope that it'll be expanded / capable of more, we'll see. Definitely spoiled by Samsung's edge panel and Home Up.Has anyone confirmed if you can still only have 4 apps in the iPhone Duo dock? It looks kind of weird being on the side, but being so small.
I still write on the TriFold with a generic capacitive mesh stylus, as well as write with the built-in stylus in my work-issued Surface Pro 10. Pencil support is definitely appealing, but as you say S pen may make a comeback next year in response to the Duo.That Apple Pencil support is a winner! The iPhone Duo is a very polished design. Nothing "first-gen" about it. However, I'm gonna wait for some hands-on experience in-store. There are still things I don't like about iOS, such as lack of a true file manager. And I'm used to having 3 apps open simultaneously, but can make do with two. The fact I'm even considering the Duo is testament to how well Apple did with the Duo.
Well, my lady is intrigued about it. So… it’s a chance I get it for her and that way I could try it myself lol.The iPhone Duo is a very polished design. Nothing "first-gen" about it.
