Restore in iTunes. Then, if you still feel brave, try Limera1n again. If it still fails, contact Geohotz.
Oh my....I don't care if it was code or your grandma's painting, it's still a funky line that is there whenever I restart my iPod Touch.
My mistake, internet doesnt work either. Was on wifi and thought 3g was working....
What model/firmware/carrier are you on? Upgrading to 4.1 will update your baseband, rendering the phone useless on any carrier other than its original one unless you're factory unlocked.
Im on a 3GS iphone, on Rogers network in Canada. 4.1. Same as I was right before the jailbreak. Not sure why this is happening, very frustrating though, was really hoping for a smooth experience.....
Oh my?? You made it sound like that line was some kind of problem. It's not....it's a necessary part of the jailbreak.
So, if you you are going to complain about problems with a particular jailbreak, at least complain about actual problems.

This was my second jailbreak ever.. Was extremely easy of course, and seemed to work just fine...
sounds to me you mistaken jailbreak with unlock.
If you updated your Iphone to 4.1 you will NOT be able to use the phone on any network other than AT&T.
The Limera1n hack is just for you to install unoffical apps. It does NOT unlock the phone for you.
sadly, you will be stuck until a new unlock hack comes out.
And it sounds to me that you have mistaken that the iPhone is sold elsewhere. In Canada Rogers is the network that the iPhone is on.

Hey there I upgraded from iOS 4.0 to 4.1 via iTunes. I then ran the limera1n process with success. Got cydia installed and then added the hackulo repo. The repo URL is right, but when I click on the hackulo source in cydia, there's no content. I double checked on my iPad (on which I ran the same process) and it has install0us and several other packages listed in it. So I know something is wrong. Anyone having issues getting install0us on their iPhone 4 with iTunes upgraded iOS 4.1? Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Didn't work great for me. Do you need to have a fully restored iPhone first? When it tells me it's running the exploit no green limedrop appears it just reboots the phone and I have no limera1n app

Same thing happened to me... a full restore via itunes worked PERFECTLY...
Everything works for me except the SBSettings remove background toggle (reboots phone into safe mode). I have 43 Cydia packages installed (Notified Pro, MyWi4.0, Facebreak, 3G Unrestrictor, tons of tweaks) and used my phone hard and heavy today without any problems. So I am satisfied and consider Limera1n to be working great for my iPhone 4.
ok so i am on ios 4.0.1 jb. I have custom text ringtones via .caf files and tethering via the comex hack that you had to manually hack via ssh into the filesystem. I dont like any other programs to make any hacks. So my question is when you do upgrade to 4.1, will all my manually hacked text ringtones and tethering be reset to the regular ios 4.1?
or will i have to have a clean 4.1 install without any customizations?
