Currently have an iPhone 4, definitely planning on upgrading regardless of the whether or not the screen rumors end up being true. Honestly I've never really found the current screen to be too small, but that could be because I have very small hands and when holding friend's Android phones with larger screens they always seem to be too large to fit my hands well.

i upgrade every time....expensive hobby to have haha. I'll get the 5 on launch date and the 5S (or whatever) maybe a month or two after launch.

A6 chip: Yes

A5x: No. Same as 'new' iPad. No point upgrading if they don't want to upgrade the specs to match competition. I'll just wait for the iPhone 5s if it happens, I can live without pointless Siri for another year (I'm outside of us).

Undecided at this point. Kind of disappointed. I was hoping for something close to 4.5 inches because compared to my husband's GS3, my iphone screen seems tiny. I was waiting a LONGGG time for the iphone 5 but last year only the 4S came out. I don't like the fact that it's a taller screen instead of wider so I don't think the screen will get much bigger. But still, I love the iPhone and their apps, hence my dilemma!

If the phone release is the same as the leaks then I'll probably end up going to android. I have already picked up a galaxy nexus from google so I can evaluate the platform now having to do a contract extension.

I'll be switching back and forth between the nexus and 4s until the launch of the 5.

I guess we'll see what happens.

will you be upgrading?

Most stupid of the threads every year 2-3 months before new iphone announcement..How the hell can i vote on your poll, if neither you nor tim cook would tell me the next iphone features until it's officially out?

I just got the 4S, and I plan on keeping it unless the i5 lets me do something I need to do that I can't on my 4S. I'm more of a 'does it fulfill my needs' than a 'is it the new hotness' kind of person.

Yes. Upgrade to LTE and larger screen. Unlimited data leftover on Verizon, so full price to retain that privilege.

Does verizon end your unlimited if you upgrade with the new contract price? AT&T lets you keep it unlimited.

My iPhone 4 contract is up in November. If the rumors are true then I'm leaving iOS. It's hard pressed between Android and Windows Phone for me at this point. I'm not a customized die-hard like some, but I have rooted and flashed CyanogenMod to my tablet. The Windows Phone UI is nice, but with it being more locked down similar to iOS I may stay away from it.

Unfortunately, the killer feature is that AT&T is incompetent and cannot manage their 3G network to be good enough, so for places like Manhattan where the network sometimes doesn't work, 4G LTE would be great. However, I only go there once in a blue moon, so I'll probably keep the 4S with it's better form factor, normal dock connector, and cases and case accessories that I have already. I'll wait for a while, and let the fallout from the new dock connector and cases happen.

If they had come out with the same design again with the same dock connector, I probably would have bought one just for LTE.

I'm on the fence. If the thing is just a stretched version of my current 4S, I may just DL the official iOS 6 and save my upgrade.

Keeping my phones until 2014 or if it breaks. Perfectly happy with my iPhone 4, Nexus One, and MyPhone TV phone. I realize the whole launch day might be fun, but I say wait a few months in the Holidays to find a good deal. My contract expired last month and I was able to upgrade last Feb. But I realize I love the form factors of my phone. I'm not crazy with these giant phones anymore. I might still get a Galaxy Note someday just to see if it can really balance a phone and tablet. But I'm perfectly content with a single-core CPU at 800Mhz to 1Ghz. Every notice laptops not having quad core that often? What is all that horsepower needed? That is what I feel with phones. I only need to do simple things on it like browse the web or listen to music. I dont game or watch vids that much. The rest is overkill. Get a tablet or laptop if you want to deal with harder tasks.

No, the new dock connector just seems pointless to me. Why do they fix something that doesn't need fixing??

I'll be picking up the new iPhone 6 in October.

My wife can use my old iPhone 4S (the real iPhone 5).

I highly doubt they're going to call it the iPhone 6, even though it is the sixth iPhone made.

I'm in the US. Siri is just a toy, and its uselessness sinks in after a day. The only thing I've ever legitimately used it for was asking for nearby restaurants, and the rest of my queries have been about Goku's power level :D

I'm on an iPhone 4 and can't wait to get the 5! Bored of this model now, time for an upgrade!

I've been generally bored of all iPhones. The only real usefulness in smartphones is utilities and GameBoy Advance emulators.

----------

I am currently using 4 and extremely happy with it. I won't be upgrading unless there is somekind of ultra-extremely impressive new features.

Same here. The iPhone 4 is more than perfect for me, and it's definitely better than that iPhone I used to have, mostly because it has a useable headphone jack.

Upgrading to new iphone 5

my contract is up on Aug. 30th. with AT&T and not only will I be upgrading but going to Verizon and getting rid of poor service micro cell etc.

Sadly I'm one of those people who love having the next thing. But if the new iPhone doesn't impress I will probably jump over to one of the new google nexus phones that are coming out.

There's a few things Siri is useful for, but they are very narrow uses, and you have to know the syntax before using it. Honestly, the most useful part of it is my friend playing with it to get it to say silly things and taking screenshots. I'd trade Siri for about any other halfway interesting feature any day. I wouldn't miss it much if it disappeared tomorrow.
