We all want to believe that, I know I do, but dropping is so problematic. 6 foot drop and it's ok next 2 foot drop it cracks. How it hits is so critical to if it breaks or not. On past iPhone, 5s, I used the Tech21 bumper. I have to say that really worked well. The energy absorbing material inside does work. It's just bigger than the Aplle leather case.
Using a Tech 21 case for the first time on my 6s and love it so far. Feels sturdy and drop proof.

Does anyone know if you need to activate force touch. I have no idea how to use it. i have a .02mm thick glass screen protector on

No need to activate as far as I know. Just give it a good press, not a hold down a legit press into the screen. Takes some getting used to, but you won't damage the screen.

Just slipped my 6s+ into the leather case I had on my 6+. It fits fine. I had a feeling that there wasn't enough difference in thickness to affect the fit of the case. At least that's one thing I don't have to buy again.

Do you guys feel a little "snap" when you press down, like to do an email preview?

It's weird.

Is this how it's supposed to feel? I thought it wouldn't feel like anything.

I think that's the 'haptic' feedback to let you know you pressed hard enough to activate the touch feature.

Thank you. But wouldn't we know when the preview pops up? Or are there other places that I haven't used it yet where the feedback makes sense? If so, what are those?

I dunno. There probably were reasons for having it work that way which may not be evident until more apps use force touch.

So put a water based one yesterday on a 6s, 3DT works fine... looks pretty good too... Was going to do glass, but some how the face on this looks better....

I'm still trying to get used to force touch but I have a Maxboost tempered glass protector and it does work, just not consistently. I'm still trying to figure out if that's user error though.

i had a tech armor on my plus that served me well, but really liking magpul+raw lcd this time around and one day in

That little ZAP you get when you ForceTouch is the 'Haptic' feedback like in AppleWatch. It's a very cool feeling. I've ALWAYS, first thing I do after restoring or getting a new phone, is turn off ALL Vibration. HATE the way that feels - the damn ZAP in your pocket.. Always made me jump. So I wasn't holding out a lot of hope for the haptic thing being any different.. But I was pleasantly surprised. It's this very gentle feeling that lets you know something just happened. I really, really like it. Pleasantly SUPRISED. Nice work, Apple!!

We bought a 6s and 6s plus at the Apple Store yesterday and had the Belkin 0.2mm screen protector applied by a rep. The description says glass in first sentence, but later says film. It has a drag to it like plastic. Not sure what was up but unfortunately had removed before we left store.

It could be just a matter of getting used to the 3D touch.

I have the same screen protector, the Maxboost tempered glass protector. Before I bought it, I made sure that it fell within the 0.3mm thickness requirement -- I think it's 0.2mm, so it's really thin. (Nice protector -- love the wipes and the guide stickers for proper placement).

I have my 3D touch setting on medium, and I've had no problems. But I played with 3D touch in several apps for practice so I'm pretty good at applying the proper pressure now.

I too have the 0.2mm MaxBoost protector others have mentioned and it's working perfectly on my 6S. It's a very nice screen protector too, honestly. Especially for $7.98 with Prime shipping.
