It's funny you think I care about any of those things, though I can understand why you might.
- I dgaf about security as I store/do nothing that important on my phone.

SwampThing offers a set of reasons which demonstrate a myopic viewpoint (or lack of understanding) of how some folk use their older iOS devices. I have an iPhone 6 as a daily driver but still use an iPod touch 2g (stuck on iOS 4.2) primarily for music, alarm and timer duties. The iPod is perfect for those things. Is security an issue? IDGAF :)

He didn't. Scott was still in high school at that time. Jobs started Next in 1985, shipped a couple generations of hardware, and didn't hire Forstall until much later in 1992.

Yes Jobs DID hire Forstall ...1992 by your own omission. Why are you saying no in one sentence and then yes in another???

Nothing looked as good as the original Mac either. Windows 95 was pretty much as good as UI got at the time. Would you argue those designs are still what should be considred state of the art? That there’s no point in doing anything but repeating them? No, I though not.

No I wouldn't ... Windows 95 sucked balls, Win 98 and SE is when Windows came into it's own. Win95 was useless in my mind - better than a Tandy or Commodore Pet / Vic20. BUT i'm saying something was good enough to last the test of time in iOS although its feature set continued to grow.

Example:
File, EDIT, View still exists in a LOT of (OG) MacOS, OSX, macOS, Win95, Win98 systems. The programs evolved got much more powerful and a plethora of features BUT .... the state of their art having that menu remains and thus the point of repeating them is paramount due to the menu's usefulness and it's discovery use cases...

I said “Windows 95 was pretty much as good as UI got at the time” and you said 98 was when “Windows came into its own” but the UI was barely different. If you’re talking just about the stability the mentioning SE in the same sentence makes it impossible to take you seriously. SE was, famously, a complete trainwreck.

“Example”. Example of what? I can’t imagine how you thought this was in any way related to the posts you replied to, and much less how it applied in a thread about iOS. Where’s the “File, Edit, View” menus in iOS?

Don’t reply when drunk.

Where's the video, why not embed it into the article?

I'll do a better job at this for you, than these MacRumors amateurs did - the PROPER HD quality video, on YouTube:

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. Still rocking the same weird shirt as in the good old days at Apple.

He likes stripy shirts, he said so in the interview... nothing "weird" about individual taste.
