I use iOS devices because Android is a cesspool. None of the high-end Apps I use have Android equivalents anywhere near as good. And Android developers are lazy. Can't even make proper tablet optimized Apps or take the time to code for 64bit and give me improved performance. So much for that fancy mega-core processor in phones like the S7 that never get utilized. What an utter waste. I also don't care about fluff that Android tries to pass off as innovative. And iOS will ALWAYS be more secure than Android, which is important to me.
I'll check your :apple: :apple: glasses next year o_O

I see the Apple fatigue all around me. I know quite some people who jumped ship and never regretted doing so. As of 2014 I was a fierce defender and an Apple diplomat. As of today I find less and less reason doing so and I even don't recommend Apple to my friends and family anymore. Today's Apple is synonym for greed, arrogant company with outdated tech for a very expensive price.

I wonder, do you think anyone here believes a single word you're saying? Who are you trying to convince?

I don't have to think that. I can read a lot of people responds by knowing so :D
You seem to me a fanatic person which it's not possible to convince with facts.

Can we agree we disagree? Thank you :)

You my friend need to go outside for a bike ride.

As someone who follows tech innovation very closely, I can understand how it can be frustrating to see tech that is going to take years to get to consumer products (I've been watching the underlying tech for Project Tango for years, the advancements in true wireless charging for years, the battery tech coming down the pipeline for years, etc). But when you take a step back and realize that commercialization of big tech changes need to be rolled out appropriately (think about how disastrous something like Pokemon Go would have been if done 3 years ago as SoC's would not be able to handle it without overheating or immediate battery draining) to prevent backlash.

To me something like the Edge devices doesn't make any sense, it's the wrong implementation of flexible OLED in my mind as it seems completely half baked. Now if Sammy waited long enough to get a nice radius and actually wrap around the OLED and had software functions to fully take advantage of it I would be impressed, but to me this is "innovation" is just trying to beat rumors to the punch with a half assed implementation.

I prefer slow and steady useful changes in tech, not "we did it because we can".

You may not like the speed of the release pipeline, but I think you'll be eating your hat this time next year.

I HOPE so! I love the Apple ecosystem, and OSX (MACOS), is still awesome. So I really Apple's next iphone kick's ass and as reasonable form factor. I have been saying that for 2 years now, but three years waiting to play catch up is a long time to wait!

Anyways.. here is hoping to being wrong in Sept and/or next year!

Likely for bean counting reasons?

Philosophically, it's much more likely wireless; that would also kickstart a similar change in the industry, and lead to better, cheaper wireless headphones.

Of course for bean counting reasons. The creative/innovative philosophy of Apple that peaked with Jobs has been replaced with beancounting subservience to Wall Street thanks to Cook.

No need to get personal, chill. I've posted many facts before. You're assuming iOS is better than Android. Well, for me it's a matter of preference because I think iOS as android are both good OS-es. You say you don't like the icons of Android. Well, the Android coming from Huawei has the same look and feel as iOS. Is it a blatant copy? IMHO it is. But if iOS was that far ahead of Android, it wouldn't even be possible to look and feel the same.

Want me to post specs and features comparing the iPhone with competitors? I can do that for you, but I'm lazy and point you to the Galaxy S7 page.

The Amoled screen alone is a big improvement of what Apple is offering today.

Bingo. This is all the doom & gloom iPhone "fake users" want to talk about. Stuff that doesn't really matter.

However, one thing they NEVER want to talk about are the things inside. Like the A9 processor, hardware encryption, NVMe storage and all the other high-end hardware features that only Apple has which puts them far above everyone else.

I mean, it's pretty sad to think Apple had hardware encryption back in the iPhone 3GS while even new devices like the S7 STILL don't have this. Quite pathetic. But keep talking about bezels or widgets as if they are innovative.

"fake users"? LOL. You actually typed that? Or was it a freudian keyboard slip? Like, when you voice dissent or critique for something it automatically turns you into a "fake" or a "hater"? Please.

Noone really cares to talk about the things inside because Apple established itself by creating DESIRE, not a hardware schlong-athon. Other than jolly ol' Phil Schiller enumerating pixels and fawning over specs, almost nobody gave a damn if the processor is A9, if the aluminum is 7000 series or NVMe storage. They may give a damn about the design and the stuff they use. Tech forum nerds like us, on the other hand, have a different substrate of interests at heart.

What *I* care about are the products that I need to use in my life daily. I've had a growing frustration for a while now that despite the billions they are constantly raking in, Apple seems to be snoozing on the wheel and have competitors all over the board catching up and at times overtaking.

I own an S7, no need to point me anywhere. My 6S Plus is superior. Too bad all the supposed S7 experts here haven't bothered to give me some Apps to try out despite repeated requests by me. I guess nobody wants to find out the truth about the superiority of iOS Apps compared to the garbage you find on Android. So they play dumb and keep silent.

BTW, here are some facts for you. Let's see you counter my claims (I'm betting $$$ you don't and try to deflect).

- iOS will always be more secure than Android.
- The A9 is the most advanced ARM processor in the world.
- Apple is the first and only mobile device to use NVMe while others (like Samsung) are using the inferior UFS or MMC.
- Apple uses hardware encryption while phones like the S7 use software. Even a 3GS had hardware encryption.
- Android developers are mostly lazy. Don't write native Apps, don't optimize for 64bit and don't optimize for tablets. Which is why The App Store is superior to the Google Play Store.

That's quite the coincidence, I'd say.

You can have a larger screen in the same form or the same screen size in a smaller phone. I would prefer for the iPhone to be slightly smaller in height and width, as it would allow me to reach the far corner on the screen more easily.
I'm not disputing that, what I'm wondering is how that can possibly be considered innovative.

It's worth noting that Apple isn't Foxconn's only customer, they do in fact assemble electronic devices for many other large tech companies.

And I wish people wouldn't keep banging on about a sales decline. Compared to a normal year, such as the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 6S sales are up. Last year was an anomaly and it will happen again if rumours about next year's iPhone are anything to go by. Everyone will rush out in 2017 and buy the latest iPhone and in 2018-2019 I can see the Apple is doomed, sales are down nonsense again. It's just the nature of the beast, we've been here before and it'll happen again.

You have to understand there are a lot of people out there who hate Apple and will do anything they can to undermine the company with some false sense of logic. Anyone who has any sense at all could easily see that there was a huge spike in iPhone sales and now that spike seems to have become the norm for the haters. Apple's market cap is relatively high with a very conservative P/E and yet there are these idiots out there who actually believe Apple is going out of business or something. Look at the P/Es of those other tech companies and they're at least double of Apple's P/E which gives them the appearance of having Apple's revenue and profits. A multiplier is just a belief of a company's future value and nothing more.

There's also this nonsense of huge sales decline due to the fact that Apple's market share is dropping. That's only due to the global economy of consumers buying far cheaper products in greater amounts. Actually a loss of market share can occur even if a company increases sales of a product. With dozens of companies selling smartphones it doesn't mean any of those other companies are profitable because they're all fighting for a small piece of a pie. I always get a laugh when they show a smartphone market share pie chart and a huge slice of Android smartphone vendors is shown called "unknown". And those number are also basically shipments and not necessarily sales.

There are people honestly trying to kill off Apple for reasons I simply don't understand. If Mercedes-Benz or BMW sales drop off in poorer nations, I've never seen articles about the death of those companies because of some market share loss. As long as a company's books balance and remain well in the black then the company is definitely doing well. Apple is still opening stores and still hiring employees. Since when is that a sign of a dying business. Plenty of tech companies have been laying off employees recently but they're not being tagged for a "going out of business" meme. Only fools say a company is going out of business when they've made $10 billion of profit in a quarter. Yeah, it's a total disaster to go from $12 billion to only $10 billion in a quarter. Huge death trend because one quarter is lower than the other.

As we know, Foxconn certainly does business with a lot of companies, but yet only Apple is said to be causing Foxconn's losses. That's pretty convenient. I've seen cases where Foxconn was doing great but yet Apple was still being called a doomed company. Whether Foxconn does well or does poorly, Apple remains doomed. Does that make any sense?

Going back "iPhone Girl", I didn't realize until today that she looks like Philippines' very own Charice Pempengco! Well, before she became a lesbian and was still singing on Oprah.

What a waste, Charice. Actually, not really. If you seen Charice's pretty gf, you'd understand the switch. I would turn lesbian too if I was born female and can pull in chicks like her. High five, Charice! The perfect wingman because they seem safer to women. A beautiful woman always tops any design from an iPhone for me! ;) God's greatest creation, right Jo Koy?

As for Apple, wake the hell up! Poor decision-making than Charice's choices on girlfriends. Stop resting on your laurels, Apple. The 10th anniversary iPhone 8 will look like the Samsung Galaxy S7! Yippee! They keep milking their biggest cash cow called iPhones and it is starting to run its course. This isn't like Mac OSX which also has 10% vs Windows. Smartphones is a bigger industry and more fickle.

I hope they keep falling in profits to motivate themselves to innovate. If Apple has runs its course with smartphones like most other brands because they are basically a screen acting as app launchers, then the Apple Car might be the next big thing to innovate another industry. Steve was right that iOS was five years ahead of the competition. But the five years was up back in 2012 and Android turns 8 soon.

Steve is wrong that customers don't know what they want. Apple propaganda just like magical, revolutionary, just works stuff. Back in the 2000's, not many people owned smartphones. In the 2010's, platforms matured and people are more educated what they want from smartphones. Apple needs to gauge what people want and do it faster. Not wait three years or more to finally offer it.

A team of manufacturers can have many varied ideas because they are also competing against each other. Mostly their backs are against the wall. This is where innovation can be born from. A sole manufacturer that's successful catering their mobile platform will only have tunnel vision. This is where blind arrogance and complacency can be born from.

10 Reasons Which Show The Fall Of Apple!

^ Written in 2012 and the reasons still ring true to today. Warning signs have been there for years and Apple still doesn't want to listen and avoid an inevitable downfall. Like a bratty child who doesn't want to listen to anyone and will continue to make the same mistakes just like what happened Nokia and BlackBerry.

The phone hasn't even been announced yet lmao you do realizes not every single feature leaks right?

The camera, the speed, new software that's only iPhone 7 compatible, different home button, better reception because of the antenna bands, maybe some type of water proofing...

I don't know why everyone just to such drastic conclusions about a phone that hasn't released...

Because it's Apple. No one seems to realize Motorola released the Moto Z with no headphone jack in sight. Where were the articles telling of how Motorola is doomed because they didn't bother to put in a standard 3.5mm hole? I doubt anyone cared one way or another. A company isn't allowed to change anything unless the consumer gives an OK? Hogwash! I can't believe the stupidity of people who are always yelling for change but when it happens, they don't want it. Those who don't want Apple products should just stay silent and look elsewhere for some other company's perfect product. Moaning and griping isn't going to change anything and a couple of hundred million new iPhones will still be sold to the silent majority over the next year or so, standard jack or not. Why wait for Apple's announcement of actual features when people can gripe over rumors?

Take 10 dice, throw them. The chance that those dice landed with those numbers, with that rotation, angle and distance between them exactly like that, is less than 1 over number of atoms in the universe. Yet there it is, right in front of you.

Looks like Foxconn is going to have to 'hang in there' until next year. There really isn't much of a need to get the iPhone 7 unless you had a iPhone 6 or older.
I don't see that there really isn't much of a need to replace my iPhone 6 Plus.

It has my large screen. I haven't used the full capacity yet. The battery is still holding a good charge. It's way more then enough for my basic needs of a phone. I plan on keeping it until the battery is worn out or cellular technology changes.

I'm more of a Mac person then a iPhone person. :D

I'm puzzled why Tim Cook doesn't understand the relation between the iPhone and the Mac. If Mac go away, why would anyone NEED an iPhone. I purchased my iPhone primarily to sync the phone with all my Apple desktops and laptops. If Apple doesn't update its Mac line, I'll have to buy a PC, essentially ending my bond with the iPhone and iPad.
Why is Tim Cook screwing us like this?

I have a 6 and I still don't see a reason to upgrade. And people who have the 5 or 5S might be more interested in the 5SE.

Even the biggest Apple Fanboys don't seem to be able to make a case for the new phone. If you are, please do!
Still pretty happy with my 5S, though I may not be upgrading to iOS 10 in a few months.

A company that large doesn't see profits slide that much just from iPhone sales.

Remember, FoxConn makes electronics for EVERYONE. Samsung, Dell, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, HP, HTC, and more. They make everything.
But probably most of it is at least for mobile, and the bottom line is that nobody in mobile is innovating. Samsung's folding-screen thing (if they actually produce it) might be kind of an innovation, but I don't think it's a game-changer for the industry. Not sure what that will take...

I probably will get the 7, I find my 6+ rather slow in some cases. Gonna do the 12mo plan and get the "innovative 8" next year. I really want that 4K camera. If there's not much innovation this round, next round is gonna suck for those trying to pre-order the 8.

Save the money and buy a GoPro Hero4 Black now. :D

Yeah, but that is not something new! Apple always have had more expensive products compare to others who offer same (bit more, bit less) and people have been fine with it and Apple have been doing fine. I am fine with it because I prefer iOS instead of the 2 alternative platforms. But iPhone 7 (based on the rumors) is not convincing me to buy it, instead I will stick with 6s. I would probably considered iP7 if it had been redesigned, improved display, less bezels and other stuff. That does not mean I will get Nexus or any other Android phones. Simply means I will wait till 2017 for the next version. And I think I am not the only one who feels this way.

It is perfect fine that you prefer iOS. But that does not means majority of the people. When competitor is catching on and offering more than Apple and cheaper. People will jump ship.

The mid rang Android phone is getting better and better. Android itself is getting better than iOS in some areas.

Company will always have its loyal buyer. Even BlackBery does. But that does by stop BlackBerry sinking. Apple is no exception

But Motorola makes other phones with 3.5mm, they made Moto G with 3.5mm. If Moto Z failed due to lack of 3.5mm, Motorola will put it back.

However, Apple only makes iPhone and they are eliminating 3.5 all together. And if people dislike the move, it is unlikely that Apple will change back.

You should prove your point first before ask someone disapprove your point.

Show me the prof that iOS will always be more secure than Android?

By the way, that is great that you like iOS. But you will be the minority pretty soon. Android will dominate the market like Windows dominate PC market.

Really who is more superior is pointless. People will buy whichever is best for them. For vast majority people, they will choice good and cheaper one, especially people in developing nations.

Huh, what? What garbage? I use an Android device and an iOS device. Every single app I have on both is identical.

Lazy, hmm.

In the meantime, I think that everything you can do on an iPhone, I'll do on my Android phone, faster. It's just a better flow. Back button. On the bottom of the screen, where it should be. Notifications, done right. App switching - two taps (you need two clicks and a tap). Translate any text selection, right from the context menu. Select something in the browser, slide up search results (super slick). iOS is like a clunky 2009 OS in comparison.

My latest Android phone does everything better than the 6S. It's about as big as the 6S but with a screen closer to the Plus (those bezels!). Loads most apps faster. Has a better battery life. A much nicer screen. Way nicer build quality. Thinner and lighter. Way better camera and app. Has 160Gb memory (32 + 128). I can hook it up to my PC and, you know, just copy stuff. Paid CHF464 for it. A 16Gb iPhone 6S is CHF879. Must be really fashionable to get one of those.

An iPhone is nearly now the Bang & Olufsen of the smartphone world. Way overpriced, fashion tech, otherwise pretty modest in capabilities.
