Time for Apple to start innovating again and stop tweaking existing, old tech. They also need to fully embrace the professional community again instead of kicking them to the curb.
Huh, what? What garbage? I use an Android device and an iOS device. Every single app I have on both is identical.
Lazy, hmm.
In the meantime, I think that everything you can do on an iPhone, I'll do on my Android phone, faster. It's just a better flow. Back button. On the bottom of the screen, where it should be. Notifications, done right. App switching - two taps (you need two clicks and a tap). Translate any text selection, right from the context menu. Select something in the browser, slide up search results (super slick). iOS is like a clunky 2009 OS in comparison.
My latest Android phone does everything better than the 6S. It's about as big as the 6S but with a screen closer to the Plus (those bezels!). Loads most apps faster. Has a better battery life. A much nicer screen. Way nicer build quality. Thinner and lighter. Way better camera and app. Has 160Gb memory (32 + 128). I can hook it up to my PC and, you know, just copy stuff. Paid CHF464 for it. A 16Gb iPhone 6S is CHF879. Must be really fashionable to get one of those.
An iPhone is nearly now the Bang & Olufsen of the smartphone world. Way overpriced, fashion tech, otherwise pretty modest in capabilities.

You should prove your point first before ask someone disapprove your point.
Show me the prof that iOS will always be more secure than Android?
By the way, that is great that you like iOS. But you will be the minority pretty soon. Android will dominate the market like Windows dominate PC market.
Really who is more superior is pointless. People will buy whichever is best for them. For vast majority people, they will choice good and cheaper one, especially people in developing nations.
Reality is hard for many to face.
Steve died and so did the innovation. Instead we have a bean counter in charge.Time for Apple to start innovating again and ....
Every one, huh? Outright lie. Find me an Android version of Auria.
Funny you didn't mention your phone so we could do a comparison. Nor did you mention any specific Apps you claim load faster.

There are two universal truths to software:
1. All software will have bugs/exploits. Especially something as complex as an OS, which has to allow software to access the hardware through thousands of APIs, and is constantly getting updated to add new features.
2. Given #1 above, the best way to deal with exploits is to be able to quickly issue updates.
Even if iOS and Android had the EXACT same number and type of exploits, iOS will still be far more secure due to the ability for Apple to issue fixes to everyone on short notice.
Google is trying this with Google Play Services (GPS), but as we've seen time and again, the majority of severe Android exploits are low level and can't be fixed via GPS. Which means going through the lengthy process of getting OEMs and carriers to issue the update (if they even bother to, as devices over a year old often wait months for an update). That is, if they ever get the update.
So as I stated, Android can never be as secure. If they fix their update method then they could be considered equal, but until then they'll be behind.
As to me proving my point about Android Apps and the S7, I tried that some time ago but was accused of cherry-picking specific Apps that made my 6S Plus perform better than my S7. Which is why I want the Android lovers (of which there are sooooo many here on MR) to pick the Apps. Then I can't be accused of being biased or cheating.

That made me laugh.Coke Bottle Thick, and Black as Coal.![]()
4" iPhone 6/6s is missing from the line up. That's why sales are falling and failing.
Wrong price too. Apple is pricing iPhone out of existence. It might work temporarily for shareholders, but it's clearly not working for customers.
Well you know what happens when numbers are down, speed of forced obsolescence goes up. Should be seeing our current phones slow down dramatically this time next year.
immmm....its just the SE.I have a 6 and I still don't see a reason to upgrade. And people who have the 5 or 5S might be more interested in the 5SE.
Even the biggest Apple Fanboys don't seem to be able to make a case for the new phone. If you are, please do!
its the same as the 6s*iPhone SE is the 4" iPhone 6S*. Same insides. What's missing again?
No Amoled, big bezels, same design. Of course there will be a better camera, of course it will be faster... But it's all soooooo 2014 compared to for example Galaxy S7 edge and Note 7.
Most of them do leak ahead of time these days. When was the last time you saw a Cook keynote and you were truly surprised by a phone feature that wasn't leaked? The iPhone 7 is going to be about as banal as rumored. Sorry.
Gone are the days Jobs moving a hula hoop around an iBook to show it's wireless. Now, that was a surprise.
You are correct, it is too early but everything you mentioned is already out there in competitor phones and better. I am hoping for one, just one redeeming feature that makes sense to upgrade, but really, Samsung note is looking like a great option because Apple isn't the tech gem it was under Steve.
While I don't want to be drastic, it's not like Tim has an A-game and has been killing it with his products. If anything, all products under his leadership have been mediocre at best.
Because it's Apple. No one seems to realize Motorola released the Moto Z with no headphone jack in sight. Where were the articles telling of how Motorola is doomed because they didn't bother to put in a standard 3.5mm hole? I doubt anyone cared one way or another. A company isn't allowed to change anything unless the consumer gives an OK? Hogwash! I can't believe the stupidity of people who are always yelling for change but when it happens, they don't want it. Those who don't want Apple products should just stay silent and look elsewhere for some other company's perfect product. Moaning and griping isn't going to change anything and a couple of hundred million new iPhones will still be sold to the silent majority over the next year or so, standard jack or not. Why wait for Apple's announcement of actual features when people can gripe over rumors?
I wonder if the slump isn't just about a "lack of innovation" but maybe more, or at least partly, due to market saturation. So many people have iPhone's now and other smartphones that eventually sales would slow down at some point.
This whole "doom and gloom" sentiment seems silly to me at this point. The companies are still making money hand over fist here and they're not even close to going under or anything like that.
The iPhone 6s Plus charges as fast as a S7 Edge if using the iPad charger.
"Fast" charging only compared to their older products.
And no cosrumization same grid? Doesn't iOS 9 add 3D Touch menus? iOS 10 isn't Assing pop-up widgets? Widgets on iOS have surpassed those on Android, Android widgets can't be that active, can't show video, etc.
Android still doesn't have good looking icons, on iOS every icon respects the same shape and most respect the same proportions and colors. On Amdroid it's a mess even with Google icons:
Any Nexus or 5x has absolutely no significance in sales. Every Nexus is a sales flop in whatever way you measure. Only geeks use nexus just as a bragging right. Never ever in Android history that Nexus was even in top 10 of sales chart.
The top 3 selling Android phones in 2016 - S7 Edge, J2 and S7. Nexus are nowhere to be seen.
Yes yes yes! I've been saying this for months now. The iPhone is still the best value of a smartphone out there, it's just that everyone has it now! It isn't 2007 anymore when the iPhone was this uber big deal, astronomically expensive, and locked to just one carrier. Because of all those things it was highly coveted and sought after.
If Ferrari suddenly stopped making $250,000 cars and instead made $30,000 cars that many more people could afford, there is nothing to covet or envy anymore because so many would have it. Doesn't mean it would be of any less quality since it's still a Ferrari, but it just doesn't sit on that marketing pedestal that it once did.
The phone hasn't even been announced yet lmao you do realizes not every single feature leaks right?
The camera, the speed, new software that's only iPhone 7 compatible, different home button, better reception because of the antenna bands, maybe some type of water proofing...
I don't know why everyone just to such drastic conclusions about a phone that hasn't released...
Because everyone is a ****ing know-it-all naysayer. Apparently, that's all the rage these days.
No, iPhone SE was an acknowledgement from Apple late in the game "oh gee, we're missing a 4-inch flagship iPhone what should we do?".iPhone SE is the 4" iPhone 6. Same insides. What's missing again?
No, iPhone SE was an acknowledgement from Apple late in the game "oh gee, we're missing a 4-inch flagship iPhone what should we do?".
WRONG! Fact check! iPhone SE doesn't follow any design cues of iPhone 6/6s 6+/6s+. Doesn't have force touch, doesn't have retina HD display, doesn't have dual domain pixels, doesn't have second generation Touch ID, doesn't have 5mp face time camera, no 128GB option, no barometer, has a lesser wifi and lesser 4G LTE. Sorry, iPhone SE does not have the same internals or externals as iPhone 6s/6s+.
Dear oh dear... What a way you've tried to spin it! Pinch to zoom out and look at the whole situation. If Apple is still selling SE "for years to come", which is really an iPhone 5 design from 2012, then Apple will be on a glide slope to crashing sometime in 2019-2021. Absolutely iPhone SE was a desperate measure, otherwise if this was all planned well, a 4" would have been released alongside 6/6plus in 2014. Apple were so embarrassed with iPhone SE they barely dedicated ten minutes to it at the keynote. Many users have not upgraded to SE and are waiting for a true flagship 4 inch. Everyone wants the greatest features in 4 inch factor, not recycled trash from years earlier. The iPhone SE does not import some of the features from the flagship 6s as you mentioned. Now, I owned the 6s and I currently own the SE. It's fast, solidly built and over all exceptional iPhone. In a month, I will be upgrading to the iPhone 7.
That being said, Apple figured out a large portion of their iPhone users were not upgrading from their 4 inch iPhones being they did not want a larger iPhone. Apple decided to release the iPhone SE to allow the customer to have the option to upgrade from the iPhone 4s/5 to the SE. And to make it affordable, they trimmed some of the 6s features to do so. Not everyone needs Apple's latest features and only is seeking something viable and reliable.
Apple never questioned themself stating "What do We do?" How do you know that? Did Apple ever say this? Doubtful. Apple made the SE available as a solid powerhouse phone, not some desperate measure. And they were smart in doing so, it was Apple's best decision all year in my opinion. The SE will be a popular sell for years to come.
