Don't be surprised if you don't receive the case that you ordered. My guess is that this ordering system doesn't check the refund system and they will most likely check that before they process the orders. I don't see how they could be that dumb to let this go unnoticed.
 
According to the apple website, my CC was refunded already for the bumper I bought. It still let me order a case through the iphone app though. I wonder if they will really ship one to me.

I doubt it...they'll probably get a free one as well. Apple doesn't care these cases are cheap I would guess
 
This works if you have more than 1 phone tied to the same iTunes account if anyone was wondering as well. Just run this on mine and my wifes phones.
 
Yeah it will be interesting to see if people who already bought a bumper (and were refunded) manage to get another case too...
 
Highest Resale

What case would have the highest resale? (ex eBay)

I was thinking the apple bumper?

I want a Speck PixelSkin ('SD' not the HD), but alas it's not offered.

Any comparisons of the two pixelskins... the non-HD version looks to have thicker rubber, and thus will provide a much greater elasticity for falls, etc.
 
If I was APple, I would wait the full 5 weeks. Get supply of the cases in the stores stocked up and then start shipping out the free cases. This way it would discourage people from requesting a case and then selling it on eBay for a profit.

So even if the cases cost $5 to produce/ship and say they sold 100,000 of them. That's half a million they lose by not putting in a simple check. I don't think anybody is willing to throw away half a million when they could easily have it by having the development team spend an extra hour to do the check. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up.

The Speck cases cost like $12.....I want to get the most $$$ one. I can just buy that later if I want it. Who knows which case is the most $$$$
 
Already like my White Bumper so I ordered a Black One too.

Now I can have some variety I guess.
 
all the other cases are crap, the bumper and the belkin look the bast but i want a white bumper i think... still no white bumper and on the bottom of the app, it sais it might change the availability, but i want to order now to get in the line..
 
It does say the selection may change - probably just covering themselves if everyone goes for the Bumper.

Well you could do research by looking each one up. My guess would be the bumper though. There's usually not too many cases that cost more then $30 and none of those ones look like they are anything too special.

My argument would be, why should I not be able to get my pick of cases even though I was forced to buy a bumper earlier to make my phone work? Everyone else gets to choose but I am disadvantaged with one model.

So when Apple says 3-5 weeks, expect 5 weeks.

Although I got my email from Apple, I am waiting until I see the actually credit on my credit card before attempting to place an order through this program.

They could stop the refund which would be the worst case for me (sorry for bad pun).

Your argument doesn't make sense then because you could have bought any of those cases on your own in the first place.
