Yeah, was wondering if you could too, but I doubt they will. I was thinking of taking it unopened to my local Apple store when I receive it and see if they will do a straight swap with me for a blue. That or attempt to find someone who would like to swap black for blue lol.
I bought 4 bumpers from apple and I got 4 emails saying my credit card was being refunded and it let me order a case.
How do I get a refund if I paid cash for the bumper at the retail store and don't have the receipt? My only proof is the black bumper and my iPhone4.
Just got off the phone with customer service. They said if you want a different color bumper hold off on doing anything with the free cases now. They will be updating things in a few hours. They took down contact information and will be contacting me when the color I want is available for free.
Did they happen to ask for your email by chance? That would be a big plus if they emailed you the receipt. If not I would either look for the packaging. If all else fails I would just go up to the store with the bumper in hand and see what they can do.
Ah shoot. I went ahead and ordered a black bumper but I was really wanting an orange one. Maybe once the other colors go up I can call and have my order switched.
I do have a habbit of keeping original packaging, but only for high dollars item like my 3g and 3gs, not for a $30 case, if I do, my house will be fill with boxes.

Not really, just the many sellers on eBay who had auctions up with "10 or more available". They were selling them for nearly double the price, and then I assume they got refunded on top of it. Too bad Apple didn't have a better system in place so people like this couldn't take advantage more than they already had.

I just got my confirmation email. Says it'll ship Aug. 27 with delivery on Sept. 1. Long time to wait, but it's better than the results some others have been getting.
Not sure how that will work. I paid cash and got my refund. Did have receipt.
Guy tried to tell me at first I had to return the case also. Just pointed out the facts on the apple web site and he apologized.
Don't know what they will do without the receipt unless they took down your email when you got it.
no receipt no refund for cash buyers. called my local apple store and thats what the just told me
I was kind of hoping they would offer the option of a $30 credit towards the purchase of a case of your choosing. I'm probably going to get stuck with the worst option by the time I get my iPhone...
