Hey guys, I figured out why none of the command line references were working. Apparently, I should've known something was up when -orbradar and -fps weren't working, but now I've got it figured out...
Apparently, you have to enter the references ALL IN THE FIRST LINE, like so:
-spec -glow -orbradar -fps
Instead of listing them, otherwise FS2 will only read the first line of the list. I finally figured this out after placing -glow at the top of the list, and then trying -shine, a nonexistent ref at the top slot. The game wouldn't let me start, but when I moved -shine to the 2nd slot, the game started. I figured that the game didn't read anything after the first line from that. Now I have to play around with the settings to see if I can get good results. Triangular sections of ships are still lit up in an ugly manner, but maybe it's a 3d engine thing? I dunno.
