So the batteries start to blow in the X and Apple recalls all X phones (sound like it’s happened once to Samsung) .... so now what? One thing comes with age and that’s wisdom. Never say never!I believe he was just giving his opinion which is what a message board is for no?
As for myself, I can never go back to the plus. The ONLY way is if and when Apple makes the plus model bezel-less. Then it would be very tempting to hold that beast of a phone in my hands with all that screen. Until then, the X is perfect.
I got my X today and I handle a lot of phones because of my job. I wouldn’t really say it was a bezel heavy slab, but there’s a difference .
I always found it hard to use the phone one handed . Others won’t have the problems I had with my 7 Plus.
I will say I definitely like my OLED screen on the X better than my LCD screen on my old 7 Plus

Yeah , OLED displays are easily better. It’s not even a fair comparison . Android has had the advantage over apple for years in this department , I’m glad they finally joined the party and stepped their display game up.

I’m glad they made the switch. Samsung has the best display until they made one for Apple.
You are way behind the. Apple was actually one of the last to announce a slim bezel device. Not even close to the first.
I’m referring to the bottom and top bezels of the iPhone. Currently Phone manufacturers are still using a bottom bezel for the screen digitizer and a top bezel for Camera/sensors. Next year. We will see companies follow Apple like the did with the headphone jack. The X was rumored since the iPhone 7 came out. Apple isn’t about being first. They’re about being better. Launch time is at the end of the year. Not the beginning.

Absolutely right. As long as these people stick with enjoying what they have and and not fire up in a forum justifying why they bought what they bought and why they think their model is better then other model. Because when they do this, they are opening a discussion. And part of discussion sometimes are things you don't agree or don't like to hear.

The only thing plus has going for is a bit wider display. The rest is not much more then a 2015 phone. Not to mention that is brick sized and not everyone wants a brick in their pocket.

Some people dont have any problems with the "chin thick" bezels but they do with the notch and many other things with the iphone X.
Imagine that people out there have personal preferences and dont just "embrace" and pay up $1000 for whatever Apple puts out as "magical" and "evolutionary".

That is exactly his point. He is fascinated how people are bothered by something so minor as the notch and not by something so ridiculous as the superthick bezels. A more current tech in a body of a 2014 phone. It bagels my mind too but I do realise some people have strange preferences. And beleive it or not, people like that exist in this forum.

I am leaning towards the 8+ myself. It has 90% of the goodness of the iPhone X, plus I like the bigger screen. And TouchID and the Home Button. Oh, and it's less expensive as well.

Target is 8 & 8+ only. Walmart is limited to what’s in stock, so you will be spending all Thanksgiving day waiting with no guarantees.
The bezels never bothered anyone for close to 10 years now.
Take a full size rectangle screen and make it uneven like that then that is an issue. It "bagels" my mind too that people say they enjoy that

Many people have been complaining for years about bezels, even in this forum. But obviously there was no a better iPhone option with thinner bezels around, was there?
Lol this thread is funny. X owners who are clearly having second thoughts furiously defending their phones against a wave of Plus owners who weren't convinced by the X. It's interesting to see how the current lineup divided us in half like this. Truly popcorn worthy.

returned my X this am for the 8 plus....personally i love the plus so much better....as soon as i picked it up..
i could never own a smaller phone again...cant wait till next years iPhone line up...right back at home with the plus.

I've had my X since launch day coming from 7+. Overall I love it. Typing is an issue but a small one. I notice the native keyboard seems to have larger keys and I have less issues using it than the swiftkey keyboard. Maybe an illusion but I do type more accuratly with the native keyboard.
Got the space grey 8+ with black silicone case for grip. Are you going to use a case?
Being divided in half honestly has little to do with a phone. Another thread for some to feel superior in their choice of something as mundane as a phone with pretty icons. Meanwhile millions of people aren't posting on the internet and are happier than anyone here. Good job guys...
yes - both my iphone 7 plus cases fit...using my black leather apple case as we speak.

Am I the only one in here who's gone from 7+ to X and now maybe considering going down to a regular 8? The feel of the X is great and I realise I don't really need the larger screen anymore as I seldom watch videos on my phone. The phone is really pretty much for everything besides videos and games now.
Would really seriously consider going down to an 8 but I can't shake off FaceID now and its hard to get away from TrueTone and the dual cameras and the full edge to edge screen. I guess thats how Apple might up-sell the X to me in future.

Came from a 6S Plus, went to the X loved it. Used it for nearly 2 weeks, went back to the Plus, initial reaction "holy crap this is too huge for me"...
