I'd be in favor of this but in any case it's difficult to get paint adhesion on a very smooth surface. If you've ever painted a metal object before you likely know that you scuffed the surface first to give the paint something to attach to. I'm not surprised that this ultra smooth surface has this problem.

I realized already when cleaning the JB with a microfiber cloth, that it seems almost as if some of the writing smudged around.

If the labels are stencilled or screened rather than laser etched, I can see it coming off from that highly polished surface.

Jet black phones shouldn't be wasted by covering with a case. If you're going to use a case or covering get the regular black. I love that my jet black doesn't slip out of my hands.
