Full Laptop Refresh By Holidays?

Know I pretty much understand !!! Well I didn't order a MBP cuz it's just to much for me and my pennies, then didn't have enough time to do litle ones.... So MB is what I can afford but there is no way I'll be buying the old MB, at least a price drop before Xmas would be ok ... but then if nothing happens I doubt they wont sell as many !!!!

So either today or next week or after next week but ... then I'll have to be guessing for MWSF.... it's so confusing but then fun !!!

GO APPLE let them come out the new MB !!! :D

That they still have the same price-tag, for a 1/2 year old system is what really makes me angry.
It should really reflect the fact that these systems are now of much lower 'value' than they where when they were released. At this time it was a good buy, but now I feel ripped off. They could at least have thrown in more memory.

Acually, it was today or never for me .. to buy the MB ...... KIND OF SAD that nothin is happening ... .... even a price drop plus ram upgrade .. but just something .... is apple letting die out their consumer laptop model ???

Hoping ... that maybe in .... 2 hours something will show up still .. keeping fingers crossed !!! :D :D :D
 
If you configure a Black MacBook with 2GB RAM and 120GB hard Drive it's £50 more than the 2.16 Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro with 2GB RAM. The White SuperDrive MacBook is only £40 cheaper than the Same MacBook Pro when configured with 2GBRAM/120GB hardrive.
 
If we get past the week of Thanksgiving without an update, then it's January.
But I don't see why the MB couldn't get the same tx as the MBP: CD2 + a few more options for HD or whatever + a little price drop.

I mean the CD2 are supposed to be the same cost as CD chips, so how could you *not* work them in to the laptop?

Come to think of it, Apple would be crazy not to push the MB price down to $999 if they can possibly swing it. That's just a great number to get people to buy, and with the holiday shopping frenzy approaching, that's all it will take.

Maybe just one hour ... left .... I know it doesn't look and smell good ... but whatever .... just one litle hour or so .... and we are done ... for today ....

I think if you are waiting for a C2D MB, you are better off waiting till MWSF where there is a slim chance of Leopard release to steal Vista's thunder! ;)
I just got my C2D MBP a few days back! :cool:

I've had a Red Dell M1710 with the 2.33GHz T7600 for a couple months now. I have the 7900GTX and games and images look superb on the glossy 17" screen at 1920x1200. I want to compare my system to the latest MBP to see how they compare. When are the new MBP's supposed to be in the stores?

Do the MPB's have a similar feature to the Dell's "MediaDirect"? This boots up very fast a small linux kernel in flash with a single button press (no booting to Windows)that can access all of your pictures/movies, playes CDs, and even views Office files (word, outlook, excel, etc.).

Amazon.com has them for $999.

I still think this means something.
