But will they Sync Apple Music (the shuffle & Nano)? If they update the lineup and add the ability to sync offline Apple Music playlist I'll be pissed. I own 3 iPods that are out dated as of 6/30/2015 thanks to Apple.

When it comes to releases of new hardware, some people are swayed by innovative design, imoroved practicality and/or ergonomic factors ... Not I. No. For me its new colours that will get me putting hand to credit card every time. Thanks Apple for being brave enough to keep this eight year old product unchanged for the last eight years. If it ain't broke .... then keep it ... and repaint it. Or something. Or shove it in a new box maybe? Sorted!

Breaking News: the 'new' Apple iPod For 2015 will simply be called "iPod Touched-Up" and will be available from the Dulux Colour Chart including the namesake of its designer - Matt Black. Thanks!

iPod Shuffle just keeps working and working. Doesn't get too hot while I'm listening next to the pool, unlike my iPhone that always does.

The Shuffle is the best for working out(at least mine that clips)...yes I can't read what song it is, fortuantely I have ears and memory to recognize what I'm listening too.

Yet again any colour that isn't a shade of grey has a white bezel. More options with black bezels please. And not just for the iPods, iPhones also.

Been saying this for years. An iPod touch 5th gen or newer with a red body and black bezel would have long been bought and paid for, but Apple insists on releasing candy cane after candy cane.

They should just kill off the iPod line already
Why? There are many people that want something very small to go running, hiking and/or walking and don't want to spend a great deal of money. And as much as people think Smartphones are taking care of every need, they aren't. For many an iPhone of any size or iPod Touch is just too big for those tasks and I doubt most people want to spend $350 on a watch when the iPod Shuffle will suit their needs for under $100.

Here's a pipedream, but I may consider "upgrading." Release a new Nano, with retina quality screen, 64gb / 128gb capable and throw in the ability to blutooth/wifi stream Apple Music/Radio and offline sync your Apple Music playlists to the darn thing. That is a selling point for me! Don't care the color because they no longer make stealth black. I'd probably get space gray.

Come on, do you really need a Nano with a Retina Screen?

I'm surprised they're changing the colors, considering the current color choices match the Apple Watch sport bands and silicone iPhone 5S/6 cases... but I suppose they need to do something to prop up sales.

Just bring back the iPod Classic. It's really the only one worthwhile now due to the large storage capacity. Anyone with an iPhone doesn't have a need for an iPod touch and the smaller iPods are useless for storage. The classic was the perfect model used for what an iPod was meant for, storing music and going everywhere with you. No worrying about storage space or shattering a glass screen.

I love mine night now and it would be great again with an update to its "snappiness" and bringing the old scroll wheel back. I felt like my iPod 20GB back in the day was a charm to scroll with, the current version is sometimes uncomfortable and not as fluid. Granted I only use it now overseas when I have no access to internet and just want my music/videos.

As far as the article's subject... I hate the colors "selection" and was reallllllly wanting them to update the nano in a major way. My wife loves her shuffle but wants the radio and bluetooth so the nano would fit the bill if it polished.

The iPod Touch is like the new ATV. Same old internals but lower price. Big deal. I moved on already.

Agree. But imagine the device with the screen size of the smaller iPhone 6, wifi and bluetooth, and a decent processor. Its the device I would want my kids to have. Its the device that a younger generation of people would make fun of us with because they wouldn't want or need our traditional 'Phone' with so many messaging apps that do voice and video.
An iPad mini is not that device.

If they came out with a flagship iPhone in that blue, I would buy it in a heartbeat, or wait on back order for 3 months. Just give me a blue iPhone that isn't so bright and plastic-y!

EXACTLY! The Classic was like a shark. It didn't need to evolve any more. These current iPods have dog **** capacity and I refuse to drain my iPhone's battery listening to music while I drive.

I like the color combinations.

My take is that the Sixth Generation iPod Touch will have all the features of the iPhone 6s sans the cellular capability. It'll have the Force Touch, improved camera and faster processor.

There is always a market for a product without a monthly subscription.

SOooooo 2000 and late :) The iPhone and streaming, who needs this anymore, not me.

Someone that refuses to pay an monthly cell phone bill, that is who the iPod Touch has always sold to. Put Skype on it and get near a WiFi spot -- bam!! -- no need for a cell phone carrier. Many use an iPod Touch this way.

Sigh, that's a color lineup? The first thought that came to mind was, "Ew, fugly, ew."

Remember this? Those were the days. It'd put you in a dilemma as to which one to pick. This lineup makes me wanna count which ones not to choose.

Honestly, I want an nanotech coating that I can change the case color to anything in the visible spectrum via a color wheel in the settings.

The blue color and touch screen iPod nano looks nice to me and I hope its internals and software receive a major update. Since the subsequent 6th and 7th generations dropped the capability to load (text) notes, contacts and calendar, I'll keep using my 5th gen iPod nano for many activities daily. With such a software refresh and increased capacity, I'd think about buying a new one. It's great for traveling and by the way, my seat mate also carried her own 5th gen iPod nano on a recent trip - same color, too! A couple of people at my workplace tote their earlier generation iPods - various - along as well.
