Man, they are really hyping translucency. :-/ Big whoop.

The Calendar looks pretty nice.

They're bringing up the perecentage numbers of adoption. It looks good on a slide, but in real numbers, its a misleading statistic.

"only 14% of users adopted windows 8".

What they're not telling you is that 14% of windows 7 and earlier users upgrading to Win8 vastly outstrips the actual population of OSx users.

its just more Tim Cook FUD

Yea I saw this thinking the same thing. What a joke...

why are you old school nerds geeking about flat icons? I've never had OSX where mine wasn't customizable, and i'm not talking ****** CandyBar installs.

I can't get that excited about translucency. Sorry

This could be a good thing, or something that will grow old very fast. I think we need to try it ourselves before really passing judgement. I'm also concerned about it in the long run

Search diversity will be a nice touch, that said, I don't really want to find things on the net, when I am looking for items on my system.

This is the same crap Ubuntu pulled, which drew in Amazon and other unwanted sponsored searches and made the search function a real chore.

Looks like you can drag 3rd party widgets into notification center.

Funny, as he's discussing all this translucency i'm looking at my Windows 7 desktop...complete with transparent doc and transparent window headers.
