I hope they get rid of dashboard. Why ?

Every year people want to know when this starts and every year I tell them to open a clock widget in dashboard and set it to Cupertino,California. This way you can see exactly when it starts. When the little hand is on the 10 and the big hand is on the 12 you know it's started.

Very easy yet so hard to do.

...it starts at 5pm here in the UK - right bang on when more than half the population leave their 9 to 5, Mon to Fri, office job (me included!) and commute home:(

Gonna have to wait til I get home around 6ish to watch it!!

DUDE! We're on Summer Time! It starts at 6pm in the UK.

Apple store is still up. Does that mean no new hardware?

Angela Ahrentds is in the house.

@JoannaStern

Very few women in line here at #WWDC14 but nice to spot Apple's Angela Ahrendts walking through the crowd.

Waiting from Belgium, though usually I watch it at home in NY. >.> I feel a sort of wish-wash about it all though. Not sure if I'll be pleasantly surprised, or feel let down.

Set your expectations low - be pleasantly surprised :D
Personally, I'm not too excited about this software agenda - I can only be surprised.

SO EXCITED!

Phone on airplane mode to preserve battery as I will be traveling home during most of the keynote, and will need it to access the liveblog.

I want an iCloud solution to backup all my photos.

I want a 17 inch retina macbook pro

I want an iTV

I want an updated Apple TV; I've been waiting for a long long time to get two new ones; I'm afraid to get the current one since its been around forever.

I want BIG iOS and OSX updates! ... but I'm not sure what they could do to improve though...

I doubt ios or osx will get a big face lift... That happened last year

For what it's worth (probably very little, if anything at all), here's what I see coming up:

* OSX 10.10 (duh!)
* iOS 8 (duh!), but just the preview for a Fall launch
* More iCloud space for backups and photos (I like Gruber's prediction on this topic);
* "iHome" (yes, I know the name belongs to someone else, hence the quotes) standard for home automation hardware developers
* iHealth (duh!)
* Updated Apple TV

* NO Mac or Macbook updates
* NO updated or new iOS devices

Just over one hour 'till it starts.

Ladies and Gentlemen. This is how we are feeling today

Why wouldn't Apple cover all of the banners? Didn't the know that they would be leaking Yosemite/iOS8? Even though it was a given both new OS' would be announced, did they just give up and say, "hey, they're already predicting the right thing." Doesn't make much sense to me...

They've always done that. 'Leave them wanting' ;)

Some of the tweets I'm seeing with photos of all the trash littered on the street (including whole slices of pizza) really makes me depressed.

MacRumors newsletter. Hmmm. How have I missed this before? So now I'll get RSS updates, Safari Push Notifications, Twitter updates, and newsletter emails.

10+8=18, not 17
1+5=6, not 5

good grief, it was only within the first few posts after that, that he was corrected by several people and then posted again acknowledging his error. Try reading a few posts down the line first before offering your belated correction?
