It's strange to hear this from a man from U.K. (unless it stands for United Kalifornia ;)) While Apple looks good their offerings today don't. It's all about catching up with the leading products (Windows, Android and Google ecosystem). And they have not even managed to leapfrog anything today because the gap is too big now.

Is this a serious post? Ecosystem-wise those companies are still behind where Apple was in like 2011. Google doesn't even have control of the wildly disorganized Android ecosystem and Windows isn't even close.

Same here. I only know a handful of people who I talk to regularly who don't use iOS.

Wow, really? I think I only know about two people who DON'T have an iPhone!

Same for me: and I’m talking a number of development shops (east and west coast, including my own), enterprise customers, family, friends, etc. Funny, we were at my little girls graduation this morning, and it had to be 80-85% iPhones being used for photos (including two iPad Minis).

Family Sharing is probably one of the most exciting things today.

also, i hope they bump iCloud from 5GB to 10GB atleast for free

Yeah, I didn’t quite +get+ the bit about “storing all your photos” (I was responding to an email...)

Was CF implying some huge storage limit? Something that matches the potential amount of free storage of the device?

Also working with Mayo Clinic, with HealthKit they can figure out personalized thresholds for readings, notify doctors automatically, and more.

I'm not sure it is right to trust your health on a consumer electronic device? I would rather have a doctor tell me my personal thresholds or a trainer, not an app!
Be interesting to see the results of this, and notify doctors? Yeah maybe in America only.

There is nothing wrong with consumer oriented devices being able to do basic diagnostic information,

Given that the consumers are informed and aware that they are not suitable replacements for a Doctor or professional medical equipment.

That's a ridiculous argument. A lot of android users don't have a choice. You're referring to the tiny niche of users who are tech savvy enough to know how to root and install custom roms.

But a lot don't have the choice to even upgrade, let alone revert.

How is that ridiculous? If you can google, you can revert to a compatible version of android. And to the bottom one, you speak as if that only applies to android users.

Their is a difference to diagnostic information and then using that info automatically and notifying your doctor! Or telling you what your thresholds are.

I wonder if your iOS devices hold onto a copy of your original unedited photo (as you adjust, crop, etc and save to the cloud).

Two questions are they abandoning iPhoto and is the new photo drive going to upload videos as well?

Google voice and dropoff ripoffs are great ideas. I was just hoping for some more health related innovations or Apple TV.

Family Sharing is nice but they need to change the 5 gigs per account nonsense.

I own more then 8 devices, they should change it to 2 gig per device or something similar.

I'm not watching live feed so unsure, it it seemed like *all* photos are in the cloud by the wording. One could hope.
