You know what, I think the OP deserves MAD PROPS and I think some here are being harsh. Sure, he was a bit hasty (ok, VERY hasty) in posting what he THOUGHT he knew.

But, unlike a troll, he came back, posted his pics, ADMITTED his mistake, and is moving on.

So props to you OP! You aren't a troll. Just easily excited. :D

if only apple could do this lol

Kinda funny...

No one even bothered asking the original poster what he got his phone replaced for.

OP....WHY was your phone replaced?

If it was replaced for signal loss, dropped calls, data problems....can you reproduce the issue with the replacement???

Wow my thread's still alive hehe..

The first replacement was due to dropping calls in my apartment where my 3GS worked fine, as well as dust under rear glass.

Second replacement is because first replacement had same signal issues along with dust under front glass. I resigned to the fact that I have an ip4-dead-zone in my apartment, but was now stuck with a worse cosmetic problem.

Now I'm actually in love with this 2nd (mail in) replacement. Cosmetically flawless and its only issue is the signal, which I've isolated as only being an issue in one corner of my apartment, downstairs, when I'm holding the phone in my left hand death-grip style (with or without case). Everywhere else in the apartment I'm fine, and I actually recall dropping one call on my 3GS in that same corner. I have home phone service, so it's not too big a deal, and I plan to press AT&T for a Microcell.

Wish I could tear myself away from these forums and just enjoy my new phone. For all practical purposes, when I'm not trying to replicate an issue, it works flawlessly. I guess all the Apple gossip has become my new past-time, like a gadget nerd's soap opera... Or a train wreck you can't look away from.

Only thing I really have left to worry about is when the white model comes out, because my wife is waiting on it and is insanely jealous of me. She was actually the only one who was supposed to get the upgrade since she has a 3G and I had the 3GS, but when AT&T bumped eligibility I convinced her we both needed an ip4. ;)

Very interesting. You have two iPhone 4's in hand though? Would you be able to do this test on both of them?

Hold the iphone in the "death grip manner" in left hand for 30 seconds and then try to go to a website while holding the iphone in said manner and compare the results on the two phones.

With 3G obviously ;P
