You know what, I think the OP deserves MAD PROPS and I think some here are being harsh. Sure, he was a bit hasty (ok, VERY hasty) in posting what he THOUGHT he knew.

But, unlike a troll, he came back, posted his pics, ADMITTED his mistake, and is moving on.

So props to you OP! You aren't a troll. Just easily excited. :D

Thanks bud. ;)

Now to be honest I'm amazed that Gizmodo ran the story of the guy with the visible sensor... I had more faith in them than that! I think that was my main problem hehe.

Oh I know :) I'm just making fun of myself. It's a defense mechanism to make me feel like less of an idiot.

I like your new headline. I think you are doing well, taking all the hassle in your stride. Everyone makes mistakes!

LOL you need some photography training.

Pretend box on the right is the camera. Shoot at an angle (probably not that steep of an angle though)

To change thread title, you edit the post and go to "Advanced."
Maybe to "warning: this thread might contain fail whale" =p

Photography 101: Direct strong sunlight at noon does not help. M'kay?!

Rofl thanks... I seriously do need some photography lessons.

Okay guys, off to enjoy my new replacement. I have to say, it's been an exciting morning for me.

Thank you all for making the delivery of my replacement all the more fun! :D

Might want to check the one on the left in the 1st pic for a smushy/loose home button. Looks visibly raised compared to the other.

I am going to Apple today for a replacement due to horrible battery life and I'm petrified that I am going to get a phone that's worse. I haven't had any dropped calls, smushy/loose buttons, yellow screen, proximity issues, etc. so I don't even know if it's worth it!

I saw the proximity sensor visible on both images. One was definitely stronger (left) - but I still saw it on the right too

Thanks bud. ;)

Gizmodo is the dumped girlfriend striking back. They loved apple and posted load's of positive posts on a daily basis. Then they published 'that' story. Apple cut them off, they applied for WWDC and wondered why they where ignored. Now all the do is moan about apple. Seems like they will do anything for a bad apple story.

Props to the OP.

Hey atleast the OP is man enough to keep coming back into his thread and take it all in stride. That is quite the opposite of a certain member and their "Stupid people the iPhone will never ship early" thread.

You're not an idiot, I would just suggest that next time, before making a thread about how you've confirmed something and promise to provide pictures, make sure (double sure) that you're right. :)

You have inadvertently, however, provided some anti-Gizmodo/"silent recall" ammunition. I'll believe their article when I see them post more pictures (a side-by-side with a known early IP4) and a serial number.

Seriously dudes,

I'm so fed up with all this iPhone hullabaloo wondering whether they will fix it - i'm just fed up!

I haven't got any prox isssues, the signal does decline when I put my finger on the spot, but hey, it seems I never do when making a call so I never dropped a call. I palm it when browsing, it doesn't seem to affect it too much.

The only thing I'm thinking about is the colour calibration of the whites on my phone (it's a bit yellow) but now i don't know whether that is good or bad (cool blue looks good to me and so does yellow for vibrant pictures).

I'm just fed up with wasting my life thinking about the negativity, I think i'm on the brink of generating Obsessive Compulsion Disorder (OCD) if I don't have it already.

For some reason I used to have a huge sexual urge when looking at the iPhone but now, it's clouded with negativity, uncertainty, and grief.

My iPhone relationship is becoming like failed marriages so I'm going to quit now and start thinking of my iPhone in a bathing suit and look beyond the nags, imperfections, eye-sight, hearing problems, moles and yellow complexion If you know what I mean.

Sent from my iPhone 4.

YAY!
