And this is why Apple always waits to put out new tech. They wait until they can perfect it.
Hope this is sarcastic....

LOL, no one has come out with a product at all comparable to the Airpower which makes it seem a lot more complicated than a simple charging pad. Apple had enough sense to finally pull the plug on it rather than release it (and to be honest, I don't really see the point in Airpower). It's still better than the vaporware called AirPower which was never actually seen in a functional state.
The Fold basically has reliability problem. I don't see how that's not fixable whit a workable device like the Galaxy Fold.
Also Airpower was just a charging pad, let's not forget that.

More like Apple couldn't get a charging pad to work properly more than a year after they officially presented it on stage.
That is indeed worse.
You sound like a broken record. The Fold has a lot, lot more wrong with it than a simple reliability problem. A lot more wrong with it than that. A lot more wrong.
Apple had enough sense to finally pull
I was alive 20 years ago but not quite aware of itYou must be young. You should've seen how awful OS X was when it launched (so bad they gave the 2nd version away as a free update - back when these things were never free). Makes current day Apple look god like.
Can't believe it was nearly 20 years ago.
But yes the place would be in meltdown had this been Apple, tech forums are a sad state of affairs unfortunately.
You’re comparing software to hardware. Not the same.Wow that's as long as Apple has been working on Siri and Maps.
First of all. I didn’t insult anyone for owning a Samsung Fold or any other smartphone. I said IN ALL THE TIME they had to work on this, and they didn’t even beta test it enough in every day usage scenarios. Yeah. They tested the fold mechanism and it was good for 200K folds. For a device that costs 2 grand. In MY OPINION, don’t you think it would be smart on Samsung to have people test it in every day usage??? So you’re argument about Apple vs. Samsung or iOS vs android being a battle has nothing to do with what I said. And your point? The Apple Lisa was in development from 1978 until it's release in 1983. That's 5 years, and it failed spectacularly. From the failure came a lot of good things, many of which helped shape computing today. So sure, stick your head in the sand and call Samsung's phone a failure. Hate on it all you want, but one day you'll be holding a piece of technology that will be shaped by this failed attempt. It's really sad that people sit back and say things like "Your phone sucks, it's not an iPhone." Or "Oh that's a piece of trash, it's not an Android." Why do you care? Why not just be happy with what you have? Why attempt to force someone to see how much "better" yours is. Not you specifically, but the universal You. Just let it go people. Let it go.
You’re comparing software to hardware. Not the same.
Such as? Siri works, Apple Music works, maps work, tv app works, iTunes works. Maybe define what you mean by failed software. AFAIK every bit of apple software works.Plus Google and Amazon have succeeded in creating the software products Apple has failed at...
I would hardly call Siri or Apple maps a “failure”. They’re both functional and are used by millions every day.Yep, hardware is much more difficult. Plus Google and Amazon have succeeded in creating the software products Apple has failed at so it wouldn't even be innovative if they worked.
Oh really...? Apple Lisa, Apple Pippin, Newton, Quick Take 1,000, ANY Computer from the 80's and 90's where they licensed the OS to OEMs, the horrendous hockey puck mouse, Bendgate, the "You're just holding it wrong" iPhone, all recent versions of iTunes... Apple doesn't always knock it out of the park. Doesn't mean I don't like their things... just means they have had their share of failure too. That's how you learn and make a better product.
Yes. Just like how they're still "perfecting" butterfly keyboards...And this is why Apple always waits to put out new tech. They wait until they can perfect it.
You sound like a broken record.
And yeah Airpower as a charging pad(even if is was meant to be more complicated than regular charging pads) is nothing compared to the Galaxy Fold at a technology level.
LOL, there was so much wrong with the Fold I thought I needed to repeat it more than a couple of times. BTW, I like to think my comment sounded more like a broken Fold than a broken record.
Building a charging pad like Airpower is from what I gather significantly more complicated than you seem to appreciate. Given how badly designed and flawed the Fold was, I don't really see where any Airpower device could have been as bad as the Fold was. I think the main thing the two devices have in common is I don't really see the point in either device. Even if Airpower worked as well as Apple claimed it would, I don't see the value in spending $100-200 for a device to allow me to wirelessly charge more than one device at the same time. I have a $25 device that works just fine for my iPhone which I rarely use anyway.
LOL, if you don't see the difference between not releasing a device at all and what Samsung is experiencing with the Fold, well... Airpower was a minor embarrassment hardly anyone but defensive Android fans who are sensitive about the Fold remember while the Fold is a page one embarrassment even my flip phone diehard Mom knows about. Samsung released the obviously flawed phone to reviewers who told the world about its shortcomings. I would also assume that Samsung spent millions, probably much more than that, building actual phones to see that will wind up being trashed.
More like they had no choice.
Yes. Just like how they're still "perfecting" butterfly keyboards...
