Even if it gets scratched up like crazy you can buy a replacement for like $10...Or swap for another for a whole different look...

if you scratch up the bezel, you'll be able to buy a replacement for like $15...i just did for my note 2...

crack the screen tho, you'll be in for a hurting...

Damn good point lol. Coming from the iPhone, I completely forgot you can just pop the back off and replace it if need be.

That answers my question then, no case for me!

So today is 9/11 and my order changed to "Preparing to ship"!
This would be so awesome if it did ship this week.

Also, check your order status by logging into your account on AT&T, not by going to att.com/orderstatus. they both show your order status, but it is sometimes different when looking through your My Orders in your account.
Order status says Preorder processing as the status.
Order status detail says Preparing to ship as the status.

;)

Mine has also said preparing to ship but has for a while.

Getting excited!

i worry more about my screen than the back being scratched. That case looks very nice but wonder the protection for a corner drop for a crack. On the actual face not sure what can protect that.

Please guys, mine says the same thing. HOWEVER, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY it ships this week. Samsung is not releasing anything earlier than Sept 25 arrival - the official release date. It will not happen this week - guaranteed. This is just some default thing that the ATT system is generating.

Your sense of reality is not welcomed here... Now move along

Well no-one is forcing you to believe me. But if you think I'd deny a chance to get a better phone for myself because of a lie I made up, then well, I don't know what to say.

i think your argument could be more well received had you made a more valid comparison between the two devices but comparing a S4 or Note 3 to a first gen ipod touch is utterly absurd

I never made a direct comparison. I just said that in some simple games, or even some simple animations, I see more lag on these "high-end" devices than I do on a first gen iPod touch.

so which "high-end" device did you see lagging behind this super fast first gen ipod touch?

I've experienced occasional stuttering with my s4 but not within apps or games, only when switching between home screens.
Do apple products stutter when you switch between home screens? Hang on.. But seriously I don't want to start an apple vs Samsung war. I like apple products but for me android offers a lot more and I couldn't go back to the smaller screen. That and the price. Each to their own though.

Eish, now you're trying to mock me here.

I'm just aping that some android devices with quad-core devices lag in areas where I've seen a first gen iPod touch not lag. That's how poorly the software actually uses the power.

It looks like every single android OS is considered by android fanboys (I'm not accusing you) to be more and more "lag-free". I've heard them say it from the galaxy S2 that "this is a very solid, smooth device with lag-free operations", all the way to the note 3. One would wonder how much more "lag-free" the device will be. Even then, they still lag (tried on a galaxy S4).

But let's face it, android is written to use the hardware very poorly. Every single release always has the release notes that it will be smoother. That's a clear indication. That's the point I'm trying to get across. I'm not in any way emphasising that the iPod touch has superior power, I'm saying that its pointless to boast about power and internals when there's bad software.

And if you really must know, I tried a galaxy S3 and S4. They both lagged on simple tasks that even an iPod touch could complete without lag. Proof, that its pointless to boast about hardware with horrible software.

Is there any way to order it full price without an ATT account? When I ordered my Note 2 I still had a post paid account, but since then I canceled it and am on pre paid.

Upset to hear that every one believes it only has one LTE band for Sprint. Was extremely excited to hear it would be a Tri-band phone, but it is not looking promising :(

This may be a stupid question but, Does the upgrade go through as soon as we preorder?
So when I placed the preorder do i have 14 days to cancel/return from that day or does it only start when they ship the phone?
