Shouldn't be a problem, I think. I use an S-View with my S4 and Nova launcher. Works perfect.

Good to know. :) The fact that is protects the screen is a big plus. However, until the price goes down (either ebay or amazon), I won't be buying; $70 is too steep. :(

Last year around the time the Note II was released, Samsung had a promotion with 50% off codes off all accessories on their website. Not saying it'll happen this year but I'm keeping an eye out for it..

$35 is reasonable. Samsung repeats itself, often.

Briefly played with the Note 3 demo unit at the Samsung Store today.

I would think the S-view cover for the Note 3 would be quite expensive in our country.

The S4's was so costly, my friend actually bought a fake one for a much cheaper price instead.

This. I got a fake S view from EBay for all of $5. Works fine.

I'm glad this phone is finally on the horizon, October 1st for AT&T. But I wish Samsung had taken the Apple approach, and released sooner, rather than later. On a different note(pun not intended), I've decided not to preorder as most estimates give me a shipping date of later than Oct 1st. How popular will this device be, and will I have any problems strolling in on release day for 1 without a preorder? I know it's not an iPhone so I'm hoping the availability is much greater.

$30 would be better but I'd still probably bite for $35. These cases should really not be more than 20 bucks they're so greedy :/

The problem this time is the case is going to replace the back cover. That's what we love about the s view I don't think that will be so easily replicated this time around. But if anyone can do it's the chinese

Actually, the S-view cover I got for $5 does replace the back cover of my s4.

Here is one for the Galaxy S4. I'm sure the Galaxy Note 3 covers will follow soon.

Looks good! Since I'm not sure I would use it all of the time, the less it costs the better.

In a few weeks, there are going to be a plethora of cases; some good, some not so good. Before buying, it might be a good idea to wait for some reviews. At first, buy a cheap case. Then, see what comes.

God I hope the Note 3 gets a decent camera. Samsung cameras have been god awful thus far.

S4 camera is very good indeed. Note 3 has same camera albeit with the boost of extra CPU/GPU enabling more options such as 4K recording.

I wouldn't worry about the camera :)

Great little write up.

Thanks for that.

i am so ready for this phone already. my poor s3 that has fought long and hard with me these last 2 years is hanging on by a thread.

my order on unlocked mobiles is still processing..no news yet 3 days from release.

The S3 has been out for a year, and 3 months. Not quite 2 years lol.

They probably thought that you would pay full price on one and get it unlocked via AT&T

i wouldn't put too much faith in what a walmart phone sales person tells you...only believe it when you see it...

Can some one explain launchers?

Hey guys,

I am looking forward to not only getting the Note 3 (from iPhone4S) but also switching from Sprint to AT&T.. can't wait and less than a month to go for me to be out of contract.

I was looking today at Android's customizations and see a lot of users going for a Nova launcher with custom themes and skins to make it truly your own device.

Can any one simply explain how a launcher interacts with the Samsung UI, Touchwiz? Is it simply an overlay and you then have TouchWiz and Nova running simultaneously? Would this not cause the phone to slow down or drain battery life? Also, I'm assuming it will limit the S-Pen functionality.. true?

I'm trying to stay away from rooting.. I used to have an old Windows 6.0 phone and spent my afternoons unlocking the bootloader and installing custom ROMs. If I don't have to learn all that again ,that would be great. I completely stopped all that when I got the iPhone since it truly did just work. However, I now want a bigger screen and Android to mess around with standard customizations.

Any insight is great! Thanks.
