Yes, almost always on wifi.

Yea, now you see my frustration and confusion with this battery weirdness. Only other option I see as you mentioned is trying a new battery I guess but that Stinks after only 7 months of the device.

Have you try turning off wifi? I find that some wifi setup drains more battery.

I usually get something like the following without using wifi.

I havent tried a test with pure non-wifi but I also would like to utilize wifi when available at work and home for our family plan 10GB limit.

We've never been close but would prefer wifi if at all possible at all times.

I just remember. In wifi settings advance menu turn off scan for location. Allowing wifi scan may cause the wifi not able to go into low power inactivity mode.

Anyone use a bluetooth headset and use Google for voice functions? When I press my bluetooth button and Google comes up the chime sound it makes is horribly LOUD to the point where it is probably damaging to my ear. Everything else is normal volume, it's only that freakin chime. Anyone else encounter this and come up with a solution?

Check the system volume control settings.

So looks like I'll be taking delivery of a Note 3 tomorrow.

I had one before Kit Kat was released, but have decided to get another. This will be a UK unlocked handset.

I suspect it will arrive with Jelly Bean. Is the KitKat update really as bad as people are making out? I've seen reports of bad battery life, random hangs and issues with SD cards.

I like to be on the latest and greatest, but on the fence about upgrading it or leaving it on the version is comes with.

Thanks. Understand that people really only post to report "issues" but wanted to gauge how real those issues really are.

Starting to think I'll just upgrade it when it arrives.

I wouldn't worry

I've had no issues with mine.. Battery life is great and no issues with my sd card.

Seems to be hit or miss.

I for one wouldnt upgrade as I dont see the benefits since updating as it has only been negative.

I loved my Note 3 prior to but now it is more of a "whats today going to be like with this device" versus the "this thing is amazing" feeling before the update.

The device itself is great. The screen is outstanding, the feel of it being such a big phone for me is awesome.

I just think I've drawn the line in the sand in no more Samsung devices AND Touchwiz unless it is a google play edition or another system such as sense or the nexus line. Yes I can root, flash, all that stuff but Id rather not have to do that if I am shelling out cash on a device.

Just my thoughts though and personally for me and my experience with the Note 3 as of late.

Well just so you know, the update brings a new bootloader so no way to go back :p

Well that was an easy decision. Already came pre-loaded with 4.4.2

Now to get the monster setup... :)

Lol sold my note 3 and got a awesome deal for a 5s 64gb, you do not want to do that I'm having a difficult time with the screen but I guess il get used to it soon.

Sadly I can't keep both and I have the tradition to give iOS betas a try, hopefully it's worth it.

Going from a note to the iPhone would be impossible to me.
