All your previous iphones(excluding 6+) had better battery life than the phones you mentioned?

My battery is 100% when I go to bed and around 65% when I wake up. With 70% "cell standby".

Now to top it off the stupid fingerprint reader is only working 25% of the time or so.

My gs6 lost 1% while going to bed and waking in the morining.you have a stupid app backing up or syncing in the background

Cloud, dropbox, onedrive, photos etc can all be re backing up your device.

I turned VOLTE off, and my Cell standby went from 40% to 2%. It's a feature I won't miss; I barely make phone calls anyway.

I am getting pretty damn good battery life from my S6 Edge. Typical use for me and the battery will last about 30 hours.

This review gives a tip about turning off wifi calling to get better battery life. See instructions to do that about 4:00:

Best reviewer on youtube right now by the way!

At this stage does a review make any difference when those of us who were going to buy one have indeed bought one ..... ;)

MKBHD and Erica Griffin have not done a full review yet, Detroitborg and Mobiletech have.

But how else will I reaffirm my notion of this being the best phone ever?
Lol.... based on evidence of some ...

It seems you simply pop onto the iphone section and begin trolling or turn every other thread in the others subfora to a 'vs apple' thread regardless of need or merit.

Well put. I just sold my Note 4 fire size reasons. Loved everything about its functionality and battery life, but basically I just needed that in a Galaxy S-sized package. That would be the sweet spot. I think 1080p would be fine, even. Just hold that Galaxy S size and get us an extended battery life.

The Galaxy Alpha is also an own goal by Samsung. Basically, if they hadn't crippled it with small battery and lack of SD card, they probably would already had an iPhone killer on their hands a long time ago. And then they could have just released the Galaxy S in "Edge" version only, to put the nail in the coffin.

Right on about Alpha - I have a really nice 850M with the Exynos I got new in an Ebay Auction and the speaker is very full not like the AT&T speaker its very fast and excellent reception with black cool looking menus.
BUT Alpha could have been great- Samsung used the same Sensor as S5 but gimped it down to 12 megapixels.IF they had used the Note 4 Camera and made it 7.8 millimeters thick with 2600 Mah Battery - Alpha could have been a big hit worldwide but it would have smoked the S5 and the only thing allowed to beat S Series is Note Series.
Alpha is really rugged also.

I like what Samsung is doing now except the Anorexia-they are making phones too thin and killing Battery Life.

Imagine a Galaxy S6 Pro at 7.6 mm thick with a 3100Mah Battery at $850.
Cry about price once but never cry about Battery 100 times lol.

I get pretty good SOT 4 hours + and I need to upgrade to S6 for the Camera
BUT I am concerned about Battery life- will drive me nuts if it' s not at least 6 hours SOT at 20%;brightness lol.

??? I don't even remember the last time I posted in the iphone forum. Must've been a couple of years ago. May e your confusing me with someone else? I don't feel like I'm trolling.

First impressions of my s6. Amazing.

Love the keyboard too. It's so helpful having the number row always on top.

Camera, great. double tap to launch is as fun and useful as I thought it would be.

Beautiful device. I have the gold. Worth the wait. Camera bump not as bad as I thought. Really not that thick and there is virtually no rocking when placed on table unless I try. And oh so comfortable in the hand. Really a good size.

Screen truly is gorgeous. Reading text is sublime. Haven't even fully immersed myself in a video yet

Device is fast but lag creeps in during the settings menu like when toggling switches on/off in the settings menu, it can really hang. What's up with that? That's the only place. It's really weird.

Finger print scanner just as good and as bad as iPhone's. Meaning when it works it is fast and youre in. When it doesnt, it's frustrating. I eventually turned this feature off on my iPhone. I wonder if I'll do the same here over time...

Touchwiz so far isn't bad at all. Quite nice actually. The ability to not only customize your quick settings in the pull down menu but to have two rows? That's awesome. A simple swipe can take you to a second tier of less important settings toggles. It's a fantastic feature. Even when you go into the full setting's menu you can choose up to 9 of your most important settings to place at the top looks clean and is helpful. A plus on these features.

One thing I hate? the back button is on the lower right. What the heck? It makes your thumb when using your right hand have to crank and bend so much to hit it becsuse it's so low on the device. Very uncomfortable and will take getting used to. Annoyed that Google allowed Samsung to get away with this for so many years.

Another thing I hate? The app drawer. Why the AZ feature doesn't just stick is annoying. What's worse is even when you go to press it to sort alphabetically, it'll tell you every single time, "we're about to sort alphabetical " um thanks?

To early for battery results but it is sipping fast because it's been on since I took it out of the box. Hopefully will settle over the next few days

Did I mention I love this keyboard? Auto correct is super too. Just wish there were arrows for editing.

That's all I got so far. Will be looking to sell my one plus soon no doubt. Maybe even my iPhone 6. God the gold is beautiful on this thing. Not as reflective as I feared it would be.

More to come.... haven't even played with the multitasking features yet

You missed the sarcasm / tease of the post.

I wasn't referring to you at all - but just the general way some posters post when a new device comes out :)

At least you got an A-Z option .. unlike me :(

I think im going to ditch my 6 Plus for an S6, about to head to AT&T in a few to get it and I believe the iPhone is going on Swappa! Don't mind me, I'm an avid phone switcher.

Added a new theme. Kind of disappointed that the icons don't change in Nova. Everything else does.

You think you have a problem ? Some of us went through 16 different handsets last year. This year I'm already on my 4th.....

Me as well. I had the Nexus 6, then Note 4, iPhone 6 and 6+, and now want to switch again. Trust me I am one of them lol.

Hi what do you mean by SOT? the screen turned on only during 4 hours? or also doing things like browsing and playing games?
