It doesn't matter. If your screen is on, this number climbs.

I don't get that, my battery gonna last much more (hence TOS) if i'm only browsing than playing a mortal combat game for example.
My SOT numbers are gonna drastically differ.

Might as well put in my battery life experience so far.I waited at least a week to get a few charge cycles and get the phone setup the exact same way my old gs5 with oem extended 3500 mAh battery.

I use instantgram, ebay and trivia crack as the only apps that have full push Internet access and use Facebook on chrome just like I did on my gs5.I also have YouTube and sound cloud and Google music syncing and use music and youtube everyday at the gym for my music playlists.

I have unlimited data so my phone has never been on Wifi and keep it on lte all the time also.

On my 3500 gs5 I could get 6 hours of on screen time without using any power saving modes and just use the cell like normal and if I really tried I could get 7-7:20 hours stretching it with power saving mode and using Wifi instead of lte.

Well ladies and gentleman I am safe to say that my gs6 is on it's way to matching my 3500 mAh gs5.I am using the cell like normal and using youtube for music and Google music and all my other apps the same way and I'm at 38% left with almost 3.5 hours of screen time.

I shut off all other syncing and manually do email but this is all the exact same way I did it on my gs5.

I have no doubt by the end of today I will match and break 6 hours on screen time.I will post pics when battery is at 1% and no power saving of dropping the screen to 5% brightness is being used!

I don't feel that my battery is doing as good as some of you. Today is my third day with the S6, and right now I'm at 75% battery remaining with 37 minutes SOT. It isn't draining much at idle -- about 1% every 2 hours.

I have brightness set to auto, and all I've done today is checked Gmail and Twitter a few times. By my calculation, that would be 148 minutes to kill the battery with SOT.

I'm sure you have but did you update all your apps in the playstore and the samsung apps ? I had chrome eating up my battery and cleared its cache and that fixed my issues.

Yeah, everything is updated. I just installed the Samsung Push update a few minutes ago. Like I said, it isn't draining at idle when the screen is off. It seems to me that it is draining more than half a percent of battery per minute of SOT with auto brightness. I'm not too concerned about it because I don't use my phone that much between charges anyway, but I don't understand why others are able to get 5 or 6 hours of SOT when it's looking like I could get around 3 hours.

Do you have HD voice enabled? I turned mine off since most of my friends don't have volte so you can try shutting that off

I'm the same. Don't get anything like what others are reporting. I'm at 58% now and only 56 mins of screen on time.

Been on battery 10hr 45mins.

OK there's an update that's supposed to help those of us with battery woes

Cult of Android: Latest Samsung Push update could improve Galaxy S6 battery life woes. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwzqnGqBI

reddit is talking about just disabling samsung push altogether if you dont utilize samsung services, I guess it effects push for samsung apps

I'm surprised that were not seeing cell standby on your chart, most of the other screenshots in here have it

Since the latest updates my screen is taking up the least amount of power and standby dissappeared but obviously I used a bunch of it last night as you can seen from the log

I wonder if turning off volte is the ticket for now at least

Give it a shot! The only reason I turned it off was because my father had a 8 year old dumb phone and said I font sound good on it so I figured it was taking HD lte voice and converting back to CDMA on the backend and losing quality on his old phone

I haven't decided to buy the phone yet  just hoping other folks see this :p

you seem to be getting significantly better results

Who here has bought the S6 and came from a 6+ and haven't looked back? Debating going to buy it and sell the 6+. Just want something new but the S6 really seems like they have it together now.

My god you basically have to disable everyone of those for good battery life ??Reminds of windows where I have to uninstall and stop all the crapware.

oem android has a good bit of similarities to oem windows

thats why I'm stock android or die and always do a fresh reinstall of windows

the volte / cell standy issue is probably the root of the battery disparity

no absolutely not I am just posting my disabled apps I don't use and don't want to look at in my app drawer

Mini update

I'm leaving work in 20 min and then going to the gym for about 1.5 hours and I'm at 18% battery.

If my phone makes it through my workout while streaming all my music this phone has surpassed what I expected out of it.

I remember quoting a member saying the gs6 will never get close to 7 hours ost but I'm at 5 hours now and will probably get 6 out of this charge
