reddit is talking about just disabling samsung push altogether if you dont utilize samsung services, I guess it effects push for samsung apps

----------

I'm surprised that were not seeing cell standby on your chart, most of the other screenshots in here have it
Samsung Push is their notification system. So if you disable it on TW you lose the missed call/unread count notification on icons and such.

Fine if your using Nova & Telsa but if your using TW you likely want those notifications.

You missed the sarcasm / tease of the post.

I wasn't referring to you at all - but just the general way some posters post when a new device comes out :)

At least you got an A-Z option .. unlike me :(

My god you basically have to disable everyone of those for good battery life ??Reminds of windows where I have to uninstall and stop all the crapware.
My disabled list looks very similar. Verizon and their bloatware.... awful.

I wonder if turning off volte is the ticket for now at least
I have VOLTE turned off and it's done nothing to help my cell standby issues.

Bad news:

I take back what I said about the stock samsung keyboard. Its terrible. It definitely lags. And for some reason its as if the keyboard is too sensitive so I often get swipes when I'm actually trying to thumb tap. Its nearly unusable.

I've installed the google stock keyboard and its great but for some reason the Samsung keyboard won't stay disabled.

Any help web this? I've unchecked it from the settings but it keeps getting re checked completely by itself. Frustrating. Don't know if its a bug or Samsung's sneaky way of forcing you to use their keyboard...?

Also touch wiz lags. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It's not a deal breaker but it does hang here and there doing miscellaneous things. More so than iOS and more so than cyanogen on the one plus.

As much as I'm bugged by the battery drain issue, I have not seem any lag on my S6!

Have you had any issues with the edge not being responsive?

Aha, roger that. Damn I'm too used to google now launcher, totally brain trained to use the status bar for notification only I forgot. I'm terrible with my unread email counts so it's nice not to see them I guess :p

Ok guys I'm down to 1% typing this and have my final results.

First let me also state that I'm a power user and go through about 25gb of lte data a month and used my cell this past day full blast and went through 450mb in 23 hours of facebook, soundcloud, instantgram you name it along with over 2 hours of music streaming (just got back from the gym)man I can't believe my cell hasn't shut down as I'm typing this lol.

Results are this cell has matched my gs5 with oem samsung 3500 mAh battery.

I went a day and 6:15 min of on screen time without ever using wifi or any power saving modes

I really hope the battery levels out for me. It's not looking very good currently

I'm also struggling with the keyboard I'm using because the keyboard sits much further down or close to the bottom of the screen because there are no more capacitive buttons. My palms keep hitting the corner keys.

It's frustrating.

Have you tried SwiftKey?

This is where the fun begin guys, Samsung is not gonna release a new firmware without first customizing it to include the carrier's bloatware for each single country and carrier (for example among other things), so it's gonna take a couple of months.

Welcome to Samsung world! (I'm an owner of a galaxy s3).

SwiftKey isn't bad. But man the themes are hideous. And it still doesn't solve r the problem that the keyboard sits too close to the bottom of the device. My palms still press the corner keys. Very frustrating.

I'm looking this phone but there are some very frustrating little bits of annoyances. That back key location.... Ugh. Still cannot get over that. Lower right cornet is a terrible place for it. My poor thumbs.

Looks like a lot of things I'll have to get used to..

These battery stats any good so far? Can't really tell. Doesn't feel very good. I can't tell if it's just because I'm so used to awesome battery life with the one plus or not...

Your pics are not showing up for me but I am sure any phone will feel disappointing that doesnt match your previous phone on battery life

edit: I see them, you should be able to get at least 4 hours. I can get about 5 or so with my G but it isnt near the phone this S6 is

Fixed now. Sorry.

Yeah I mean I fully expected the phone to have less battery life than the one plus for sure but can't tell if it's abnormally bad or whatnot.

I'll know more tomorrow I guess when I go through my usual routine. Maybe it's cause in still setting up and playing with it.

Whats everyone's screen mode setting?

I'm on adaptive. Should I switch to basic or something else? Basic definitely isn't quite as nice.
