It's nonsense to say it is faster. Now, it may be your opinion it is and it maybe my opinion the back "button" at the top is logical and consistent, but that is where it ends. What is nonsense is arguing subjectivity as objectivity.

What is nonsense is you are just deflecting when you have no good counter arguments.

Scrolling speed - I can scroll faster to get to end this page to see the latest post. I can scroll faster in long selection drop list to select item.

I can hit back button on Android 3x faster than you can do swipe to go back on iOS.

I can call up task manager faster by hitting the recent button than you double clicking home button on iphone.

So are you going to be chicken and say the above is "subjective"?

That's exactly what you are doing.

That doesn't make it better though.

No you can't.

No some of this is flat out wrong, some hyperbole and the rest subjective.

But in the end this is all so much drivel.

I'm sorry you don't have enough experience of iOS to know that it is better. I would strongly advise you try it a bit more so that you can open your eyes to the better solution.

Maybe instead of giving me advice, maybe you should go and use android seriously first before blasting that the back button. It just show how little you know.

There can only be counter-arguments when you actually have an argument, and in this case you don't. We already know that iOS is superior to Android, especially when it comes to navigating around the OS, so there's no argument to be had there. And we know that because we've used both and it's obvious which is better. If you think that Android is better, the only logical conclusion is that you haven't used iOS enough to see otherwise.

My advice to you would be to use iOS more extensively so that you too can see that. Then you'll realise there is nothing to argue about like you believe there is.

As usual you convey nothing.

Hmm... so in your words faster is not better?. Then the faster speed and benchmark a10 chip in iPhone isn't any better :p

As we know iOS is superior to the lowest common denominator. :p

at this point not even discussing the posts. As to your point about speed I thought we were discussing what feels natural vs artificial but I guess we're really talking about silica.:p

This doesn't make any sense.

After you've used iOS, I always find it's really difficult to settle for Android. For the people who've only used Android, they are usually quite happy because they don't know any better. That's why it's very easy to step up to the iPhone but very difficult to step down to an Android phone.
Geez, seriously? It's a lateral move, not up or down. iOS and Android both have good things going for them. Android users don't know any better? Spoken like a true apple fanboy. Maybe leave your mind open and something good might slip in. Lol.

I use both. Critical of each. I just have a longer laundry list of petpeeve with iOS and Apple. But getting OS updates pushed and security is the only reason I haven't left iPhone for good.

But that's your opinion and other's (including that of the OP) may vary.

Personally, I started on iPhone and moved up to Android. I've tried to move back down to iPhone (bought the iPhone 7 last year) but just don't like the OS, lack of LED light, need to take an additional charger with me, lack of headphone jack etc. etc.

So, I do know better (and perhaps better than you) as I've used both systems and have settled on the one that suits me.

Just cause Android suits u and many others doesn't make it a better device. Same for Apple.

Lack of LED light? Really that's cute!
I have family members who carry portable chargers for their androids everywhere they go lol..

Whatever device each and everyone of u like then enjoy it and quit trying to bring the other one down. Pretty childish for some grown ups lol

That's a lot of hyperbole in your post against that forum member, which I don't believe they deservingly required a response from you in that manner.

There's nothing wrong with wanting an LED notification light for the iPhone over Android . That's a heavily debated topic on here and has been for quite some time.

Second, it doesn't matter how large a battery is on any iPhone or Android device for the sake of "Carrying a charger" , it all depends on how the user taxes that battery throughout their day. So caring a charger with an iPhone or android is negligible, because no one will have the same battery experience based on their usage.

Also, that other forum member stated they wanted Android because it had a 3.5 mm Jack, that's also a valid excuse for some that have made that transition away from the iPhone due to this.

Those both valid responses for preferring Android in my opinion. For the record, I see both sides of the spectrum and I am an iPhone owner.

Shame on Apple! Why they removed headphone jack?there are still millions of people around the world who still use headphone jack every day and don't want to go wireless (including me). Airpods are hell  expensive where i lived before, not everyone has that spare income to own them there. People are left with no choice but forced to go android who still appreciate headphone jack.

Wrong. Apple is not forcing anybody to do anything. The user makes the option of rather they stay or leave. You DO have options. Apple still offers choices that have the headphone jack with the iPhone SE and 6S.

Regardless, And as less convenient as it may be, there is the adapter they provide still utilize an alternative way to access your audio. Which in my opinion, Apple does not have to provide you with that, yet they do. So it's not like you're at a complete loss without using your wired headphones.

More so, I understand there's both sides to this subject, but that's my opinion only.

The headphone jack is actually just modified and relabeled as a lightning headphone port. A simple adapter is all that is needed.

On topic:

I've tried switching to Android several times. There are some great things in that OS and Samsung OLED screens are ***** incredible.

Thing is I own Apple Watch, TV, iMac, MBPro, and iPad Pro. Also, 95% of my friends and family own iPhones. The interconnectivity and instantaneous interaction are second to none in my experience.

If Android had the same seamlessness and efficiency as Apple's iOS, I might keep Android phones longer than the few months each one takes for the novelty to wear off. I only mean novelty in the sense that you can tailor many functions much deeper than iOS, but in the end I just like to use my phone in its most efficient and simple modes.

im so tempted to get the galaxy s8 plus, I've had iPhones from the start but they are getting boaring. My only worry is my kids use ipad to text me, so I'm guessing skype can replace that if I go with the s8.
BTW Are we looking at a 7s to come out before the iPhone 8 ?
Stay away from Samsung or any android phones as they are the unsafest and unsecured phones because of their open systems and applications that can be built by anyone including hackers. Stay with iPhone as it is the safest and the secured phone due to its proprietary systems and application development!! Ask cyber security experts.

Really? Open system is safer because everyone can scrutinize and find vulnerabilities faster (thus resulting in faster patch). Close system like IOS if ever there are any hack can be swept under the carpet by Apple. You won't even know that you have been compromised.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I recently had to tear down a Galaxy Note 4 to replace the motherboard and something about the experience kinda put me off from wanting to buy a Samsung phone in the future. I know it's something insignificant and shouldn't really matter, but the amount of effort I sank into doing that, and the overall construction of the phone just seems to have pushed me from the idea of getting a Samsung phone in the future. Don't get me wrong, the S8 is beautiful and all, I just wouldn't want to be the one to fix it if something were to happen to it. Replacing the battery in my old 6+ couldn't have been much easier.

S8 is the greatest phone until the note 8 releases...thank Samsung for not keeping its consumers at the bottom of the barrel and actually opening up their phones to their true potential.

I would probably hold off being as though we are 3 months from the new iPhone line up that way you can decide then when you have official info on both not just rumors.
