After 4 weeks I can assure you the battery on my S8 lasts longer then my iPhone 7. And thats even while using the S8 more intensive (since its a new phone ofcourse) then my iPhone 7.
I believe you, you are using Exynos?

Yeah I read those reviews on batteries before buying the S8+ but still iOS does a way better job managing battery usage, I don't even play games on my phone. Also those review that tells people they have good battery by turning off mobile data, sync, bluetooth..etc. is just what ever man why do you even use a smart phone.
And also on the S8 you get an alert telling you to put apps to sleep. You don't need to do that on the iPhone.
I don't know why, I try to work with the S8 on a daily routine with the same apps on my iPhone but the iPhone has at least 40% battery left. I never turn off Wifi, Bluetooth or mobile data.
They arent more seamless than Android because they dont work with WindowsFor me oled is not a reason to upgrade at all, however may be for you, which is fine and dandy. all Apple products work together more seamlessly than android products, so yes, it's more seamless.
I do because thats the HEADLINE feature of iPhone 8. Expect 20 minutes of Apple singing praises of the display at the Keynote and a Jony Ive video full of rhetoricYou can't know why the masses want to upgrade or whether a rumored display is even a reason.
A file manager is a file manager. It works the same on all OSNor can you know what functionality will be in iOS file manager if there even is such a thing at release.
It's more seamless because you don't need to anything special and the experience covers you're Apple TV, watch, all idevices and macs. That's more seamless than android will ever be.They arent more seamless than Android because they dont work with Windows

Every keynote Apple deservedly sings its praises, its manufactures a great product that flies off the shelves.
One doesnt HAVE to use the file manager, which is a salient point. It's there if you want it, hidden away if you don't.
Your iPhone is only seamless if your world is as small as an apple.
It's seamless within the Apple ecosystem not the universe; which I did say. And yes though I can mirror my iPhone to my tv, but that is not the topic of discussion. AirDrop is way better than anything android has to offer in that regard. If it is so seamless why can't you mirror your iPhone screen to any newer generation TV without setup like my s8 can. Or transfer a file to any Bluetooth device without setup like my s8 can.
Your iPhone is only seamless if your world is as small as an apple.
And yes though I can mirror my iPhone to my tv
Don't need Apple TV to mirror, but we are way afield here. I just use the app.please add that without an Apple TV there's no way you can mirror your iPhone to your TV. Another perfect example of a vendor lock in and the absolute power Apple has over its users.
With my iPhone 7 I need an Apple TV. With my S8 there's no need for a extra device between phone and TV.
And you mentioned AirDrop. Just Google ''Airdrop not working on iPhone''. But let me guess, all those people complaining about AirDrop are simply using it wrong, right?
Yeah, AirDrop is absolutely stunning! /s

You can google anything and come up with hits; it really doesn't prove much.
Google Samsung s8 pink screen....
No sir, that is seamless integration amongst all idevices, apple tv, apple watch, airpods, macs. Plus household appliances with homekit plus all of the other devices that the quality apps in the app store support.Using an app but then required a pc as a substitute for apple tv for it to work. Plus need to install software on pc. What a joke...heh.
You so unashamedly declared s8 as not seamless but iPhone is. The above just showed how wrong you are on very basic things. If you just use Samsung hardware then you can be more seamless as you can connect your tv, fridge, washing machine, tablet, pc, audio systems, home automation etc together.
Pink screen on s8? What is the big issue when a software update solved it. But yellow screen iPhone issue was never solved. That goes to show how bad apple quality/service is.

It's just as wonderful as communicating with your air conditioner. But that's not even the point, the apple ecosystem integration has far more depth (seamless) than android.Yeah..tell us how wonderful are your homekit compatible light bulbs/small devices from some peripheral manufacturers.

An apple tv is a heck of a lot more fun than chromecast. But as said before and going around in circles, don't need an apple tv to mirror an iphone. Every tv manufacturer in the last few years has an app for mirroring. But I'm not even sure why this is part of the conversation, it's a rare bird that makes a purchase decision based on how a phone mirrors to any tv. All I care about, is that it can be done.Yep seamless but suckered the consumers. Force you to buy an additional Apple TV before you can mirror your iphone screen seamlessly to TV. Compared to android which you don't need to do anything to achieve the same thing.
Yep, iphone is seamless in the confine of the apple world. Android is seamless in the real world.

No, I am stating facts. My iphone, mac, apple tv, apple watch, ipads all seamlessly pick up and work together. Whether I have to launch an app or not to mirror onto a tv is irrelevant as the goal is accomplished. The much cheaper cost, is due to the less support and less longevity. You are digressing...arent we talking about seamless? All the "seamless" that you talked about in the Apple eco-system is nothing unique or special. It can be done with Android/google/samsung as easy or easier without any locked in proprietary stuff and at a much cheaper cost as well.
So as long as you tout the Apple eco-system as seamless/special/functional that others are not, then I will rebut you with setup/use-cases that show the Apple eco-system is not the hype you made it out to be.
btw: who's talking about chromecast? For newer generation wifi-enabled TV, I don't need any dongles to mirror S8 to TV. You can't with Iphone because Apple made sure of that so you can be suckered into buying an Apple TV.

Re the bolded, if you want to bicker take it someplace else. You have offered no real reasons to give up an iphone.
And btw, who the heck needs to kill their cell phone battery mirroring to a tv, I'd rather get an apple tv have some fun and not kill a cell phone battery. But to each their own.
What you just said about the apple ecosystem is equally if not moreso, applied to the android "ecosystem". Everything. I'm not asking anyone to switch either, I'm just countering misinformation about an over-hyped android platform as well. As I said, to each their own.You can do it your way with apple eco-system. I can do the same with Android/Samsung and maybe easier as well. Why are you so adamant with your misleading info that apple eco-system is better than others when it is obviously not. I am not asking you (or anyone) to give up iphone. Just want to show how misleading and over-hyped you are about apple eco-system or products.

Even the OP said, he is probably waiting for the iphone 8, after so many pages of this back and forth.
The s8 is over-hyped, imo. But as soon as you say iPhone, don't need to say any more before buying one. It's a better device and better purchase for me . You buy what suits you.I did not over-hyped with S8
How about Iphone
You have no idea what you are talking about.
