Yeah, we are in this FOMO stage... but I'm staying firm with not purchasing the Fold 7 (even though I have it currently in my cart lol). Not trying to rain on others parade... Fold 7 is a phenomenal device, looking forward to seeing first impressions from users.

Maybe help out new Fold users to get the most out of it, still plan on being a Galaxy user (not abandoning ship hopeful we see certain features return).

For some strange reason I'm tempted by the Flip 7, I've never been tempted by a foldable before. Maybe it's just Fomo 😂

100%. I think whoever grabs this will love it, and I definitely didn't think less of Samsung. Just doesn't work for me right now and I still have an awesome phone.

Man o man, having a hard time deciding on the color. Red was my original choice but now I'm also considering the blue and mint. Need to decide quick, as I'm annoying myself with this indecision. lol

That red do looks nice, but it's not as dark as I would have liked... think I'd settle for the blue, but yeah.. tough decision lol

Why not 512gb? They offer that as a free upgrade storage... right? Unless it's a US thing (not sure where you located).

yea no excuse for the ZF8 to not have a silicon carbon battery, honestly no reason for the ZF7. Really sucks that the OnePlus Open 2 was cancelled. I would have probably gone with it, and it helps to have competition that pushes the envelope for Samsung here in the US. Considered the Oppo Find N5 but with it not having support for all the North American bands and it not having support in the US I had to pass. Still the ZF7 ticks a lot of the boxes of things I wanted to see and I know I'll probably end up ordering 😄

Why not 512gb? They offer that as a free upgrade storage... right? Unless it's a US thing (not sure where you located).

They only offered that on Samsung's website, not through the carriers here in Canada.

They’ve got a good deal on the Flip 7 on Amazon. It’s in the prime day sale for £949, for the 512GB model. That’s a very good price for a new flagship foldable imho. There’s a similiar deal on the Fold 7 on memory capacity and also with £100 off.

Not so sure on that depends on your usage. The Fold 7 is to me the first truly impressive Folding device. And I’ve never use an S pen when I had Notes and tablet form factor is of more use.
 
With discounts and trade in, I managed to get this offer. I would be really tempted if I wasn't waiting for the Pixel lineup next month.

I welcome the wider front screen of the Fold 7 and it also makes more sense Samsung ditched the S Pen. I am sure the primary driver was device thinness and lack of S Pen use among most Fold owners. Another reason would also be the wider front cover screen.

My current Fold 6 case has the S Pen along the hinge, on the side, which altogether is probably just as wide as the new Fold 7. Putting the S Pen on the rear of a case often interferes with MagSafe compatibility and, now that the Fold 7 is wider, it wouldn't make sense to locate the S Pen on the side either.

In short, I am slowly accepting the loss of S Pen support and finding myself more and more convinced to still upgrade to the Fold 7.

Finally put in my pre order, got the blue Flip 7 (512GB free storage upgrade) and the black Watch8 Classic for a grand total of $1090 CAD. Never had such a hard time on picking a color for a phone. After watching enough videos, the blue was the one that was different from what I normally have, and at the same time not as bold as the red. Wife is getting the red anyway. Now the wait begins.
