If you still need to order, I think the best deal is Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FDH5W6CH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

$300 gift card with purchase, same double storage promo.

Granted, it is estimating 7/28 for my delivery, so might have a weekend of FOMO. Also the gift card shipped immediately, but won't arrive in time to get anything fun during Prime Day. 😢

Basically you spend $300 now and get a gift card, and then the phone ships for $1699 plus tax in two weeks.

They give 30-days for returns too, so I can wait until the Pixel 10 Fold announcement before I decide if I want to keep the Z Fold 7. Or maybe I'll just decide folding phones aren't for me and go with a 10 Pro. Can't return the gift card, of course, but I can always use that for other stuff.

And of course... 5% cash back with their Amazon credit card.
But I'd have to deal with selling the Fold6 myself then. As long as you can net $650-700 on the sale (which is entirely reasonable) then it's similar to $1000 trade-in from Samsung without the hassle of dealing with prospective buyers.

That blue looks so awesome. I also can't wait!
I wanted Mint, but just realized the 1TB/16GB RAM option is limited to only Black or Blue. This may sway me towards Blue. I like the storage bump more than the RAM upgrade. I don't carry my laptop anymore when traveling and sometimes back up my camera's memory card directly to my phone for safe keeping until I get home.

I am still on the fence on 512GB vs 1TB. I take my camera on trips less and less often now, and just rely on the phone's camera. The Synology Photos app also automatically backs up all my photos to my personal NAS/cloud on-the-fly wherever I am (as long as I have cellular or WiFi signal), which kind of negates having to transfer camera photos to my phone's storage.

Yep i played with one last night at the local best buy. So damn excited. Already preparing my ZF 6 for trade in and my 9 Pro Fold for Swappa lol I hope pre orders start going out early like on previous Samsung devices.

Bro, crazy how I love this upgrade and it’s only from the year before and I’m happy. I’m doing it in person trade-in.

But how much storage do you currently have now on the Fold 6? I’m around half with my 512GB… I can’t see myself ever going with TB model.

I have TB on the iPad, but that’s because of the RAM… 8gb vs 16gb RAM is more of a difference than 12GB vs 16GB.

Did you pull the trigger?

LOL you sound like me.

I often have ESPN and Yahoo Fantasy football running at the same time on my foldables. My wife hates football season 😄
I finally did this morning! There's just something pulling me towards the folds.

When I switched from Apple, the Fold 6 was actually my first choice but I chickened out.

Man, this thread 😂. I am close to pulling the trigger on the Flip 7 and then I read more and more about the Fold. I never use a tablet so the Fold 7 may be a waste. I've wanted to get a flip phone again since the Razr re-launched a few years back but have held off. The Flip 7 looks like perfection in this form factor finally. If I spend $2000 on a Fold I can't justify using two phones and would trade in my S25U and sell the 16PM. The Flip just seems like so much fun and is probably the smarter buy for me to get into the folding world. Am heading to Best Buy after work to check them out in person.

@aggie99 - would I be able to watch a game on one half of the screen (say like MLB TV) and browse the web / other apps / sports tracking on the other screen on the Fold?

I'm currently using 395GB/1TB after one year. RAM usage is only 8GB out of 12GB available.

I also went 1TB on past iPhones when that capacity became available. 512GB would be the minimum for me.

Truthfully, I would be fine with 512GB. Currently, I have ~200GB in videos, 30GB images, and 1GB audio. All of that is automatically backed up to my NAS so I can freely delete it all if necessary. 512GB is probably the sweet spot.

Yes, you can. I often have 3 apps open (Outlook/MS Teams together on one half, and browser or Zoom meeting on other half) and you can dynamically rotate all open windows however you want so that Outlook/Teams occupy the bottom half of the screen instead of left-side with browser on top (or bottom). There is so much flexibility.

And, yes, you can easily have YouTube or YouTubeTV or some other streaming app on the top half and your browser on the bottom half, or side-by-side. I've done all that. I love the Fold series and OneUI.

@Harthag , here are screenshots to demonstrate the multiwindow options on the Fold. Ignore the blacked out Outlook and Microsoft Teams windows, that's just my organization's security feature preventing screenshots from Work Apps.

To me, the S25 Ultra would be better than the Flip for viewing two simultaneous apps, but the Fold gives you more options with up to 3 simultaneous apps open (and an optional 4th floating window too in the last example):

That looks really nice, thank you for replying and posting some images!

I had no idea that was even a feature, very practical.
That is why it's so hard for me to go back to a slab phone, even flagship ones like the iPhone 16 Pro Max or S25 Ultra, after using the Fold series. The combination of hardware and software really makes the Fold-series shine. And now Samsung has addressed a lot of the common complaints about foldables (crease, thickness, weight, etc.). The Fold7 is barely thicker than the iPhone 16 Pro Max and S25 Ultra, and lighter than both. Sure, we lose S Pen, but the other hardware improvements and top-notch software really makes the Fold7 stand out in the mobile space.

I had both an iPhone Pro Max and Note/S Ultra in the past, and they just don't compare to the joy of using my Fold 4/5/6. I wish the price didn't creep up this year, but I still see the value of a foldable phone in my everyday life. (Key word Fold, not Flip.)

I think the hardest part of going to this phone is going to be getting used to keeping my phone in my right pocket so I can easily get to the fingerprint scanner. I've been carrying my mobile in my left pocket since it was a flip phone.

There's also Face Unlock but it's not on the same level as Apple's FaceID.
