I can definitely see the need for a stylus. When I eventually get mine, I am thinking I'm always going to have it open at my desk during the work day, and I could use it occasionally if I need to sign a contract or something ala that.

i am not sure if you are aware about the backstory as to why i bought that pen specifically and the discussion behind it on this thread?
S-Pen, no S-Pem - Samsung decided no S-Pen for the Fold 7. Buy Fold 7, no buy Fold 7 is an individual decision. Pretty much the discussion so far is it's not that big a deal for most in this thread. Most appear to give "thinner and lighter" Fold some priority. ;)

If you need the S-pen there is still the S25 Ultra... :)

Quick poll. You all using Gboard or Samsung keyboard? I have always been a Gboard guy but I'm watching Halys World's tips video and I love how she resized the split keyboard on Samsung's Keyboard.

I’m good with using Samsung… from the theming it provides under ThemePark to the floating keyboard, that’s what I like about it. But I do use GBoard when it comes to the Galaxy Watch.

Finally resolved another highly annoying little issue I've had over the years with Android. Lossless audio / BT settings either never stick or default to the "best effort" setting. Despite messing with all developer settings. It has irritated me ever since AptX became an option.

Check out the app "Bluetooth Codec Changer" on the Play store. I paid for the premium version, it was $5 on sale yesterday. FINALLY, my BT audio settings stick. Not only that, it remembers different ear bud profiles and can be set to auto load the profiles upon connection. It also works with persistent / live lock screen notifications. This is the first time I've been able to consistently apply the best quality LDAC 990kbps, AND get it to stick whenever I have LDAC buds or headphones connected, without dropouts.

I've never heard of lossless via bluetooth before. Even the best BT headphones can only do LDAC which is probably far superior to MP4 but IIRC not the same as FLAC which is true lossless. If you want lossless you should have gotten something like an Xperia 1 VII.

I don't consume true lossless content very often, rather, it is nice to finally have a fix to keep the phone connected to "balanced quality" LDAC or AptX HD / adaptive. I used to have all FLAC files locally on my phones and used wired headphones for that. Today, I stream all of my content and have nothing stored locally.

I don't consider myself an audiophile, so I think the 'Lossless' label next to the track name just has some sort of placebo effect on me.

I stream from two sources NAS and Apple Music. NAS I have around 7-8GB of FLAC, Apple Music I used only to play Dobly Atmos music, or at least until the 6 months trial is up and there isn't another trial or some sort of deal for $6 for another 6 months or something. That being said some Dolby Atmos tracks especially ones for older songs sounds terrible. They are excessively mixed to the point that it changes the dynamics compared to its original. Modern music sounds great with Dobly Atmost, but the stuff from the 60s-70s and even some 80s-00s track sound terrible to me. I do not need my Gordon Lightfoot 'modernized,' so whoever Apple got to mix these to me missed the mark.

I used to be an audiophile until my hearing started deteriorating because I've been playing in bands and listening to music all my life. So now it's more about convenience and algorithms, and I feel like YouTube music is by far the best streaming service out there right now.

I used to buy LG and HTC phones that had the integrated DACs and played my FLAC files. Those were awesome phones.

I just started a trial of Tidal, also like YT music for the user playlists which are very well done.

It's really great for covers of songs too. With it being YouTube, it just has so much more. There are a few things it needs to get better at like being able to search within a playlist, but it's getting closer.

Those were pretty cool before they were crushed by smartphones. I really wanted the old Softbank Fiio phones, but they never made it states side.

I'd been using Samsung keyboard and switched to Gboard full-time a couple of weeks ago. I like the customization and effects with Samsung keyboard but Gboard is just much more accurate. I did find the size customization to be better with Samsung keyboard, but Gboard is great.

You just have to remember, the journey is the reward.
Good luck!

Have anyone fired up DeX? Yesterday I finally used after being on One UI 8 beta for these past couple of weeks… and it’s mixed feelings.

I like the fact they added 3rd party icons and the new layout is welcoming… I’m always down to see a change every now and then. But I don’t like the fact Samsung took away the “pin” feature, not sure what’s the reasoning behind that… maybe it’s them trying to have consistency among One UI.

That “pin” feature was clutch… I like keeping Pocket Cast or Apple Music window below always accessible. Hopefully they bring it back.
