Same. After a moment of weakness, we good now. I think there's just a period of time that has to happen to adapt to the foldable lifestyle. It's a bigger change thanyou'd think. It's been almost a week without my S25U and living with just the Fold 7, I definitely can use this phone as main and I'm not really missing my S25U.
Foldable lifestyle??? You really need to put your phone down for a "period of time". 🤣I think there's just a period of time that has to happen to adapt to the foldable lifestyle. It's a bigger change than you'd think.

Fully embracing the foldable lifestyle over hereSame. After a moment of weakness, we good now. I think there's just a period of time that has to happen to adapt to the foldable lifestyle. It's a bigger change thanyou'd think.
My only complaint at this point is that I just wish it had a little bit better of a zoom camera. The main camera is awesome, but I just have to train myself to not really think about taking pictures anything more than 3x. It would be awesome if they were to upgrade telephoto a little bit next year. On the flip side, I've also realized that I rarely need to zoom in that much.

Sorry, it took me less than a minute to adjust my "lifestyle" to the folding larger canvas. It took a bit longer to deal with Samsung. It's obvious he means it takes some time to adjust his workflow / usage patterns to benefit from the ability to unfold to a larger canvas.
Yeah this is a place to discuss our experiences. I've been a slab phone holder my whole life and I'm now adjusting to a new way of using my device.Sorry, it took me less than a minute to adjust my "lifestyle" to the folding larger canvas. It took a bit longer to deal with Samsung.![]()
Again sorry, I've been using an iPad mini w/LTE and phone for years so the switch to foldable required no "lifestyle" change. It simply replaced 2 devices.Yeah this is a place to discuss our experiences. I've been a slab phone holder my whole life and I'm now adjusting to a new way of using my device.
No prob! I've never really been a tablet guy and I'm kind of thinking I should have been after using this.Again sorry, I've been using an iPad mini w/LTE and phone for years so the switch to foldable required no "lifestyle" change. It simply replaced 2 devices.

It's a big transition for a lot of people who have only used slabs and only have experience with devices that have bigger batteries and flagship cameras. The foldable devices have been a huge net positive to my workflow experience, owning two businesses. However, it still is something that doesn't always lend a positive experience to my lifestyle, most notably when vacationing or taking photos or videos of my kids sports. Not sure the point of your post, but I'd assume those of us here that can afford these devices most certainly "have a life".Sorry, it took me less than a minute to adjust my "lifestyle" to the folding larger canvas. It actually is an adjustment. The outer screen is still too narrow, imo. Very usable, but too narrow. I used my wife's 16PM last night and the screen felt comically wide. Not going to lie, I miss that width. Had a moment of weakness myself and played with a Pixel at Best Buy, didn't buy anything. Also share your views on the camera, I have to get used to not zooming in as much. As much as I like the Fold if nothing really improves next year I likely won't get the Fold 8. I'd pay an extra $200-$300 if the phone was thicker, had bigger battery, and proper flagship cameras. I think a lot of people would. Seeing what's coming from Vivo and others shortly, for this price, I'm not excusing shortcuts on battery or camera next year. Never had a Fold or Flip before so the Fold 7 is 100% worth it for me, for the experience, but now I need to see improvement to be a continued customer.Yeah this is a place to discuss our experiences. I'm actually good with the outer screen now... except in scenarios where it's not feasible to open it for long periods of time. But I do appreciate the one handedness. It actually is an adjustment. One of my good friends said it best. He said that I now get the advantage of having a huge screen without my hand hurting. As a Fold 5 user I enjoy the width of the Fold 7 screen when I try it in the store and the Pixel 10 Pro width is nice also. The S25 Ultra and the 10 Pro Xl are too wide for me. I could get used to it because prior to the Fold I always used the larger phones but I'd prefer to not use a slab phone of that size anymore. Which is a reason the 10 Pro tempts me.
That's pretty accurate. One of my good friends said it best. He said that I now get the advantage of having a huge screen without my hand hurting.
I think with the ZF7 I can finally stop lying to myself that I don't have small Trump hands. One of my good friends said it best. He said that I now get the advantage of having a huge screen without my hand hurting.
I think the inside screen will show less crease most likely no crease next year from the rumors and it would be nice to have it less reflective indeed. closing it I use a few combos LOL sometimes I just close it like a book and sometimes I have it one handed I will put the right side edge against my chest and close it with the left hand LOL. I'm careful with most of my phones so I don't really think about handling this phone any differently.I've been using my Fold 7 since Tuesday night, wow, I didn’t expect to like it this much 🫢. It honestly feels like I won’t be able to go back to a slab-style phone.
A couple of things on my mind:
Do you think Samsung could eventually make the foldable screen sturdy enough to skip the screen protector? It’s pretty reflective, especially outdoors, which also makes the crease more noticeable.
Also… how do you close the phone?I fold it in the middle, then kind of press along the sides to finish closing, but it doesn’t feel like the best idea.
How paranoid are you about sand getting into the phone and damaging it? I’ve become a bit obsessive, I wash my hands more often now and keep checking my pants pockets for any grit that might sneak into the fold.
And I’m genuinely afraid of dropping it. It feels like if I dropped it while it’s open, that would be the end of it...
How do you close it like a book? I mean, I get the idea, you place your fingers on the back of the phone, both on the left and right sides, and start folding it inward from each side toward the middle. But the phone’s way too rigid for that. Maybe you're incredibly strong 💪 and I'm just not 🫡I think the inside screen will show less crease most likely no crease next year from the rumors and it would be nice to have it less reflective indeed. closing it I use a few combos LOL sometimes I just close it like a book and sometimes I have it one handed I will put the right side edge against my chest and close it with the left hand LOL. If you hold the device with your left hand, 4 fingers on the back and your thumb on the top left edge, then your right hand index finger is aligned with the right edge as if your were going to use the volume button, then you simply push with your right hand thumb near the hinge at the bottom edge on the right hand panelHow do you close it like a book?
