Or maybe people could just try not to be incredibly stupid?

Yeah! It's much healthier to get addicted to a message board, like MR.~Shard~ said:Pathetic. People like this need to get a grip on reality and stop living in these fantasy worlds created by MMORPGs and the like. I don't care if this wasn't even the direct cause of death, it's the principle of the thing - people shouldn't be so addicted and enthralled with a video game that they play it for 50 hours straight - get a life. That's just not healthy, mentally or physically. As I said, pathetic.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I don't have a lot of pity for the guy. At the very least I'd say this qualifies for a Darwin Runner-Up.

what is a "MMORPG"? frankly, it sounds like an overlord in one of "these fantasy worlds" you're talking about!![]()

sad but i doubt it was gaming that got him, he was probably pre disposed to heart conditions and etc etc that lead to that, gaming probably was just the trigger.
Anyone who is on the verge of a physical collapse from too much forum participation should start a thread about it so they can discuss the problem with the rest of us while they still have time. And watch the thread 24 hours a day so you don't miss any useful advice.feakbeak said:Yeah! It's must healthier to get addicted to a message board, like MR.![]()
That about says it all... I'm thinking speed. Do they have speed in Korea? If not, this sounds a lot like an amphetamine-related death: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphetamine It's pretty easy to do a few bumps in the loo and keep rolling, especially when you have a distraction like online gaming.Lee had recently quit his job to spend more time playing games, the daily JoongAng Ilbo reported after interviewing former work colleagues and staff at the Internet cafe.

I have played two online games that I have been really addicted to, the first one being Planetside, and the second one being Star Wars Glaxies.
In my prime during the summer I played like 15 hours a day, yah i know what your thinking, "dang, thats sweet" that kind of game schedule didnt last long though, for apparent reasons.

Well, also you gotta take the situation of S Koreans into account. I mean with N Korea hangin over your head, a bunch of U.S military bases that run-over-with-tank/rape your children and get no apology, a very high pressure economy and society etc. etc. some people wanna find some escape even if it kills them... (my GF is Korean so I'm not making this up), S Korea is a high pressure zone for some people, thats presumably why online games and online communities like Daum and Cyworld are so popular...vixapphire said:i don't know what S. Korea's like, but if the same thing happened in the US, the press would infer drug use from the get-go.
