I thought the cliché was "I'm not gay but my boyfriend is"?
That's totally different... he was referring to Lacero's statement, anyway. I always liked the variation "I'm not an *******, but I play one on TV." And ya gotta say it the same way the guy in the commercial did. :)

Why do people shoot fish in a barrel anyway? Isn't it dangerous to use a gun in that kind of a situation!? :p
Becaue they're a bunch of rednecks that don't understand the concept of sport. If they were smart, they would sit in a boat on the water all day with a little metal hook floating in the water.

Femmy boys = ++hotness.

Oooh, really? Coming from Paris Hilton, that's quite the compliment! :) Wait...*goes to make sure he knows what ++ does as a pre-operator* Yep, okay. Yay for femmy boys! :)

EDIT: Oooh, note the subtle insertion of the phrase "pre-op" into this thread by yours truly. :p :D

Judging by this thread one could get the impression that mac users are either femme straight guys, macho gay guys or women who make their own definition of sexual orientation.

Wait. They aren't?

Hmmm...maybe instead of Think Different, Apple should try Love Different. :D

Um, no. I'm a straight guy, but not in any way "femme". There are some good ol' fashioned heteros here, as well.

Ah ok. I was just trying to be funny too. I guess I'm not.
Keep trying. :p (Actually, I got what you meant... sometimes my humor threshold isn't turned down low enough to get when someone's making a joke. I actually spent a minute analyzing that "I'm not gay but my boyfriend is" statement seeing whether it made sense in every possible situation.)

Apropos, what happened to that guy who just got a message from his girlfriend that she was gay back in page three or something?

Are you still around here? How is it going?

Hmmm, yeah, I was worried about him too. I think that kind of thing would be hard to take...in a Ross from Friends kind of way. :( Not that anyone should have to pretend about who they are for other people, but, I don't know, I could see being really hurt if that happened to me.

What really makes me laugh about all of this is the topic. "Any Gays Here?" As if we are some sort of gang.

"What you represent?"
"Tha Gays yo!"
"Oh Snap! Don't shank me!"

There actually was a gang in 20's Detroit called The Purple Gang. A bunch of Jewish bootleggers though.

Seriously, I think the expression could come from the practice of using explosives in a lake to just kill all fish at once making for the most effective fishing method. Unfortunately it also destroys the ecosystem in the lake and I think and hope it's not used any more.

I got a 40%. That's about right. I'm a straight male, but I'm a little femmie. Plus, you know, the lesbian girlfriend. Well, ex-gf now I guess.

By the way, homosexuality IS against God. Read the Bible.

All the more reason then :D
Pretty sure that was SpaceMagic's point. He was downing religion, not homosexuality. But again, that's a whole other political discussion. And not entirely correct either way.

I'm still around, and doing ok, thanks for asking. We're still friends, but she's been avoiding me lately. I think she feels a little guilty, and doesn't get why I'm being so understanding. What am I going to do, get mad?

It's not like it's her choice.

I dated a girl in high school. She hasn't talked to me since I told her I was gay. I told her about a year after we broke up, and that was a good while ago. She didn't even talk to me when I tried to wish her a happy birthday.

I can only imagine how she feels. It wasn't like I did it on purpose. It was freshamn year, I didn't know who I was at the time. It wasn't like I dated her to try and hide the fact.

I dunno. She's a church girl, so it didn't suprise me that much. I just hope she feels better about it and moves on, which she hopefully already has.

Pretty much, yeah. But it was a long time coming. I think I knew before she did.

And believe it or not, this is not the first time this has happened. Sometimes, I think it's just me. :p But hey, what can you do. Gotta be supportive, at least I can try to be her friend.
