No, not really. That line (or a variation of it) is from an American TV commercial in which an actor says "I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV." It's become an American cliché that you can say "I'm not a [whatever], but I play one on TV."

Hmmm, yeah, I was worried about him too. I think that kind of thing would be hard to take...in a Ross from Friends kind of way. Not that anyone should have to pretend about who they are for other people, but, I don't know, I could see being really hurt if that happened to me.

Seriously, I think the expression could come from the practice of using explosives in a lake to just kill all fish at once making for the most effective fishing method. Unfortunately it also destroys the ecosystem in the lake and I think and hope it's not used any more.

I'm still around, and doing ok, thanks for asking. We're still friends, but she's been avoiding me lately. I think she feels a little guilty, and doesn't get why I'm being so understanding. What am I going to do, get mad?

It's not like it's her choice.

I dated a girl in high school. She hasn't talked to me since I told her I was gay. I told her about a year after we broke up, and that was a good while ago. She didn't even talk to me when I tried to wish her a happy birthday.

I can only imagine how she feels. It wasn't like I did it on purpose. It was freshamn year, I didn't know who I was at the time. It wasn't like I dated her to try and hide the fact.

I dunno. She's a church girl, so it didn't suprise me that much. I just hope she feels better about it and moves on, which she hopefully already has.
