I'm taking some cold medicine. I'm trying to fight one off. :)
Me 2-only for sinusitis
Imagine me after an MRI scan I had done b/c some doctor said I have a brain tumor, and after this other doctor looks at the images says: You sure the other guy said you had a prolactinoma? Looks like all you got is a sinus problem. Imagine the look on my face.
'Wow... so I don't have only 6 months left to live. Dvde, that's awesome!'

And kick that coldz a$$! We wouldn't want you to be unable to type posts on MR 'cause you're sneezing all over the screen every 5 secs. :p :)

Yes, "here we go again" is right, but, don't blame me and everyone else. Some mods really know how to yuck our yum. This thread is now Officially Boring.

Hahaha, No...I wished I could find the article that I used to have about High School football in Georgia, but I can't ever find it. It was written by a college student in Iowa or something and they were AMAZED at how CRAZY we are about football. They even compared it to a religion. Ask any High School football fan in Georiga. Football = LIFE. The entire town is at the stadium on Friday nights. If you ain't...you're a no body.
It probably gives a good feeling of belonging, but having a monoculture like that sounds a bit unhealthy for the community, too. It sounds like the perfect environment where mentalities like exclusion and prejudice about people who think different and people who don't belong in the group can thrive.

Class dismissed: Part I

WOOOOHOOOOO
It's 9 AM here and Iv just received confirmation that the whole educational system here is halted. Reason: general strike. School is cancelled indefinitely!
Don't cha just love unstable governments ;)?

PS: Like my new sig? It's a limited edition.
One day I'll be VERY sorry for writing it. That's why it's in white. But I just think it's (in some weird way) funny.

Where the **** is everyone???

Not long been home from a trip down into the city, straight onto MR - like it's wide open spaces. Checked my emails - just a load of crap. While on line, I forgot to eat the take aways, now cold and ******. OK settle down to watch some TV, within 10 minutes - sparks and a big flash, but no picture on the damned set !!! OK, back to the GayWay, <looks around for a shoulder to cry on> Sob, no bodies here. Alright, only one thing left, I'll get caned off my tits and watch a DVD on the iBook. Hannibal I think, I've got the deleted scenes and alternate endings set somewhere here.

If there's anything else on your mind, just let us know. I mean, there's gotta be more than that. It's the first time you're angry on MR.

It also reminds me of the place I call home .
BTW, very good observation. I once overheard a Psychology candidate for doctorate proposing this subject to her thesis advisor, IIRC. Maybe you should get a Ph.D in psychology too :)

Aww, usually I'm up late at night to keep you company, Kevin. I fell asleep rather early though/rather late for my messed up schedule. I fell asleep at about 8 and I woke up just after 4. Usually I go to bed around 6 and wake up at 2. Enjoy Hannibal. I can't watch the really scary horror movies, I get too into movies and they just scare me too much . I'm a baby about movies, they affect me a lot :p. I get beautiful thing today, which means I should have dancer in the dark by thursday! I'm excited, I've been wanting to see that since I was exposed to Bjork at the beginning of high school.

I'm going to finish up my homework, the teacher made the whole class re-do the assignment, but me and a girl only had to make slight changes to ours :D, so it's not much. My teacher really likes me for my 2d design class, I should attach one of my assignments sometime, they turn out to be quite interesting. Simple, but visually stimulating, for sure.

Oh, and remember how I was going nuts because of all the Corbusier, Gropius, Mies, etc. papers? Well, we've broken from traditional modernism and pre-modernism and we are into the second generation modernists who are much more interesting. Particularly I.M. Pei, I am totally floored by his buildings, they are amazing, and I've never payed much attention to architecture. I'm definitely more interested in what we are studying now than what we were studying before.

On double posting: Let's just not double post so that no one has anything to bitch about. I don't think the mods should feel obligated to fix such things, no one cares about double-posts. Sometimes they are even nice to segment two disparate topics. But it's an easy enough rule to follow, so let's just follow it.

Agreed. I said it would happen right after the no-graphic posts issue. :(

The thread just got watered down after that point.

On georgia football: It's crazy! Even more crazy than Texas football, and we're pretty crazy. I've never been into football myself, I find it to be incredibly boring (don't hurt me Fro!). But I have a friend from Atlanta, and she has to see every college game. I'm sure she was no different for high school games.

I'm so sorry :(, dial-up is painful.

I volunteer to get you some hot and sour soup, and some good ol' comfort medicine. Echinacea tea was a great recommendation though. You know what to do, but I'll make some recommendations anyways. Drink tea and lots of water. Green tea is a great anti-oxident. Water will help bolster your immune system, as does Echinacea, and will flush your body of icky stuff. Avoid meat for the next couple of days, it's hard to digest and your body will appreciate the easier foods. Drink as much water as you can force through your body, though! Tea will help in that respect, it's basically water, so it has the same effect, while still have the benefits of the herbs.

Maybe the dial-up is making you sick? :p It would have that affect on me.

Oh and if anyone is having trouble sleeping I recommend Sleepytime tea from Celestial Seasonings. It's mainly just Chamomile and Spearmint, but it can really help calm you down. Chamomile affects everyone differently, I know someone who falls asleep within 10 minutes of a cup of chamomile tea every time, the mother of my best friend growing up. It doesn't help me near as much, but it certainly does calm me down. Sleepytime also has potassium, which is always good to have :).

And if you're having trouble staying awake, drink black tea! That Dim Sum Bo Nay oolong tea is perfect for keeping youself awake. You can buy huge boxes of it from Foojoy. Don't ask me how many of these boxes of 100 I've gone through :p:

Now I'm really craving tea, I think a couple mugs o' Green Tea would start the day off wonderfully :).

g'morning people

Frozone have a good time at your football match mate, though from the sounds of it you did not need to be told that. I've only ever seen people that exited about sex and football (I mean the real one, where you only use your feet :) ) and rugby (Sort of like US football for men). :D

Cheap shot i know, but i couldn't help it. Well hope your team wins. My first bf (way back when i was in my first year of uni) was a rugby player and a win would always make him horny as all hell :D Ah the memories :)

Lee, hope you feel better soon mate, Colds are awful. Well get some rest and if you pull a sickie we'll be here to keep you company :)

Emerson, enjoy beautiful thing, I really loved it. Another movie that i've seen recently is Latter Days, it's pretty recent i think, and i really liked it. Especially this one line where this restaurant owner says: "So your church doesn't approve of alcohol or homosexuals, well then i'm not joining. I can't imagine heavan without both" If you don't mind subtitles there is a good german comedy (yes, i know german comedy) called Echte Kerle. It's really quite fun and light, with a nice ending.

Also when i ever i feel disillussioned by the gay community i watch The broken hearts club. Quite good as well. Any way if others have already recomneded these, consider them seconded. (or thirded etc as the case may be :) )

I'm really sorry noaccess, I knew you were there, Didn't mean to ignore you intentionally Dude.

Nah I wasn't really angry, pissed at the TV expiring, and it was very trying down in the city.

And for the DVD, Hannibal was more of a FBI flic than an horror. Nothing scary at all, wouldn't say it really sucked though.

Yeh i've heard as much. So did you get canned off your tits? that can always affect the experience. If it's a really bad movie or comedy it usually improves it :) especially if you're watching with someone else that's off their tits :)
