Community Discussion. For the community. To discuss. Don't like it, don't click the link. Not to be rude, but coming from a newbie, it's kinda funny. Please don't ruin this thread, it's quite amusing and staying (for the most part) free of the arguments that make posts like this Wastelanded or sent to the Political Forum.

We have those here too, but you need 100 posts to get in there... for obvious reasons.
Amusing? What's that supposed to mean? Do I look funny to you? :D

sshhhh, let's just let that comment die down so that we can continue on w/ the merry- making! :D

So what did you think of the final episode of QAF?
I thought it was so so, with lots of openness for later episodes.
Will we see later QAF episodes?

I didn't like it. Not because it wasn't a story book ending. Lord knows, I've never written a story book ending, much less had one. All of mine seem to be like that. It's hopeful, not happy. I liked the openess, because that's what an ending should do, lead you into the rest of the characters lives, but, it should still make that experiance feel complete, which that ending didn't. It was too open. I spent the last five years(?) emotionally invested in these character's lives, and it just didn't feel like a complete experiance. You know? Maybe I just nitpick because I'm a writer. No. I don't. I critique.

And, to answer your next question, there will be no more episodes, that was the end of the series.

Six Feet Under is ending too, but that makes me sadder. I wept like a baby the entire last episode. Only 2 left.

I love how tolerance has reached an all time low. Everyone is so worried about offending someone that they forget how stupid a question he just asked.

MacRumors.com, ask Mac questions or tell us a story about your PB that you knocked off your balcony. Save those questions for AOL chatrooms.

Thats about as pointless of a question as the drunk guy that came on here just to tell us he's drunk.

Uh- yeah, this is a community discussion. What's wrong with his question? Do you know how scary it can be to be gay and think you're all alone? I doubt you do. I'm sure you're one of those who still thinks it's a choice.

Please don't give away anything! I'm one of those people without cable who has to wait for the DVDs. :)

Me too! I'm on the second disc of the fourth season. :D

Yeah- I can't justify spending the money on something I'll hardly watch. I'm not home much, so it's easier just to rent DVDs.
*nodding in agreement* Mm hmm. I don't mind shelling out some $ for tv show dvds that I know I will watch over and over again, but for me QAF is not one of those shows. I rent mine using that neato blockbuster bit; where you pay a flat rate per month and you can rent as many movies as you'd like and keep them for as long as you'd like. Works well for my needs.

Netflix is a Godsend. QAF is a rent thing. If I ever decide to watch them all again, I'll rent them. Six Feet Under, however, I'm going to tell all of my friends to buy me a season each for my birthday. :D

And don't worry, I won't give anything away, and don't let my comments sway you. It was a great episode. The best written of that whole series. Just not as good as it should have been.

I've watched all four seasons of QAF twice. :D

Oh my... although, I refuse to admit how many times I have seen all six seasons of SATC.

i absolutely hated QAF. never saw the brit version, but the american version can make me fighting pissed, just by being on my TV... I mean, I've done some of the things from that show, and i still think it's way too stereotypial. emmit, i want to shoot you.

SATC, a bit better in that i can tolerate it. But women are not cool and trendy just because they use the word "clit" in a restaurant. I was doing that years ago.

bigredsixer, you might want to spend a BIT of time in a community before you start judging the content for us...

Well, I'm a food-a-holic. I needa stop eating so much. I'm 16, about 5'6" tall and weigh only 140 pounds so most people wouldn't really think I eat THAT much. But, in a single day i've been known to eat 2 Chicken Biscuits and a 4 Pack Chicken-Mini-Combo with a Large Lemonade from Chick-Fil-A, and then get to school and snack on chips or something else until lunch. Then at lunch eat the school food along with fries or w/e everyone else doesn't eat. Then, after school a few hours later I'll go by somewhere and pick up about 2 combo's from Chick-Fil-A or Zaxby's and eat and then go to work. A few hours later I go back out to eat and get something from one of those places again and then make my way home. Eat all that food and then most of the time have a snack waiting on Supper. Then eat supper and grab a bag of David Sunflower seeds and eat about 16 oz's of Sunflower seeds in a few hours before having one more snack or something before I go to bed. I LOVE EATING! Food is just so good. Needless to say, it's not very good for my health and in a few years once my metobalism(SP) slows down it won't be good for my weight. It cost a damn good bit to! I can easily spend 60-100 dollars on just food alone at fast food places in a day.

Oh and for that organizing thing. I've tried that and I have some boxes that I try and keep certain things in. It works, but only for about the first 2 days. After that, I'm like "Oh, i'll just lay this here for now and put it up later" A week later i've got about a foot of stuff piled on top of that. I had a picture of what my desk looked like at one point, but it got deleted. Boy, o' Boy what a scary picture that was!

I'm not gay. I'm not a homophob either. As a matter of fact gay men are cool, and I'll tell you why. In New York City the ratio of women to men is 3 to 1 (last time I checked). Hence for every gay guy there are 3 women that don't have a man. So as you can see, that number of available straight women goes up as there are more gay men. You guys are great :) do what you do and leave the women for me.

thanks :D

anyway I really don't think that really matters here, being gay or not. People come here to talk about all things Apple and enjoy their time here. just my thoughts.

Then you should love SF (for a better view on that look at the movie "Time After Time".

Boobs are okay, they are fun for the same reason jello is, but vagina's are scary . I don't know why, but they have always seemed very menacing to me.  :p

No offense to any females, of course :). I'm part of a minority, I believe.

There is both something scary and entrancing at the same time. This is coming from a Gay guy.

Bragging about how big it is? :p It's probably because you have your settings as I do. To show 40 posts per page. Some people have it set to 10 or 20 posts per page.

So we are now size queens here on MR? :D

Never got into QAF. Now if there were QOF - Queer Old Folk featuring those over 35 and with body fat the sincerely went in to double digits they migh may me. :)

I've done LOTS of things on that show-now everybody knows! :) Bryan was my favorite-completely unapologetic. We need more shows like this. And give me break, I know a ton of Emmits! This was the first time character like that was treated like a human being and not just a clown. Get over it. :)

Yeah, QAF, the one time I saw it, didn't do much for me either neither did Will & Grace. I love Six Feet Under though, and I think a lot of it has to do with the mainstreaming of gay characters. To me, it's much more realistic to see gays mixed with straights. Also, at 43, the entire 20-30 something angst is thankfully over with.

Small breasts are cool but I just don't understand straight guys' fascination witht the big ones, ugh!

I knew a gay guy once who was convinced vaginas had teeth...no amount of dissuasion would convince him otherwise.

personally, i think boobs are the most wonderful things on earth, pretty much tied with toothless vaginas.

I really don't care if your gay or not, if your here to talk about apple stuff join in. I judge people on there personality not there choice if how they wish to have sex with, you like men ,women or both. I' happy to meet you and would like to get to now you.
