I went for this case and I think it is a good option. However the one downside I have found is that sometimes on the front screen there are large air bubbles where the iPhone screen meets the plastic front cover. I have yet to find a way of stopping this.

Don't know if this will help, but I found that by squeezing the sides slightly I could get any such bubbles to disappear, and they haven't come back. The front is described as an electrostatic membrane so I guess it kind of clings to the front glass of the iPhone. I also gave the iPhone a good clean with a micro-fibre cloth before putting it in the case to get rid of finger grease etc.

Tallyho, Are you interested in helping your IPhone brethren overseas. We really dont have anything like this available for at least 4 weeks, could you maybe buy one for me if I paid for it, and pay for shipping, and you ship it to me, I dont care about the price.

I actually sucked it up and just bought one from the site. In US dollars it came out to over $50.

I also ordered Ghost Armor, it still hasn't arrived yet and I want to return it. I wonder if I can... If not, looks like I'm stuck with over $80 worth of iPhone cases.:(

I ordered one too, I cancelled my case-mate naked one ordered, they said it will be 2-3 more weeks, and that costed me 48 bucks, So i splurged and paid like 5 bucks for for this gear4 icebox which looks amazing...I never got an email or order number though which is concerning

Also Does anyone know if having a Power Supports screen protector would be alright underneath this plastic sensor front ?

I ordered from the Gear4 site (the link that one of the previous posters posted), and I got an e-mail confirming my order.

for those of you that ordered this, what was the shipping charge from UK to US ?

also what makes this case that much better than the others.

I'm also wondering if this case will fit inside my Marware CEO Case.

Hold your iPhone in direct sunlight at an angle and look to the left of the earpiece. See those three dots? That's what it's for. They detect if your face is close to the iPhone and disable the screen during phone calls (so as not to inadvertantly press any buttons/end call/etc). I also think that one of them may be the light sensor? First time iPhone user so I'm just going on what I've read online.

On topic: This is a sick case... Kind of making me regret my Contour Flick. *sigh* Depending on how satisfied I am with the Flick, it might just end up serving as a temp case till I get this one.

Gear4 Icebox Orders

For those of you who ordered directly from Gear4, did you guys want the brushed aluminum fronts because I could not find the clear fronts on the site. The only place that has the completely clear Gear4 icebox is from the UK Apple site but we can't order from there.

The front is black plastic with clear windows for the screen and the two sensors by the ear piece - it's not completely clear, although obviously it produces the same effect as the iPhone front is black too.

Also keen on ordering this case.

Any ideas exactly on what the brushed aluminium front means or is this just an error or poorly worded description on Gear4's website? I'm from the UK and ordering from the Apple store comes to £30 inc deliv vs. £20 from Gear4's website inc delivery.

That's awesome. How much was your total? Did they provide a tracking number? How long should it take to ship from UK to US? I'm thinking about cancelling my ivyskin order...

Uh oh, I really don't like the brushed aluminum. I hope that's not the one I ordered, I want the clear.

EDIT: I ordered the brushed aluminum by mistake.:(

I want the clear, so I e-mailed Gear4 and asked if I could cancel my order since I hadn't received an e-mail about it shipping yet.

I tried to order the clear one from the Apple Store, but I guess I can't since I live in the US. Is there anyone out there who can help me get the clear version of this case? I will pay for everything.

Glad you caught it in time, I don't care for the brushed aluminum either

Emailed about canceling my order as well. A bit unfortunate that they don't have the transparent case available on their site.

Guys, they dont even make the Brushed Aluminum one for the 3G iphone yet, its the clear case, its just misinformed in the Product details, I am nearly certain it is the regular one just like the pictures.

I think macman is correct.

I just received an email from Gear4's customer service and they confirmed that the case which they have listed on their website is clear/transparent.
