I logged into the developer portal and didn't see anything to indicate it was my first time there, so I suppose perhaps I've done it on this Apple ID before.

One problem with this theory though is that I haven't heard anything about the 38mm model being offered to developers, just the 42mm. Much of the success people have had ordering this particular Watch has been with the 38mm version, not to mention the people who have had success ordering the white one.

Not necessarily saying the OP information is entirely false, but I don't think that's why so many have gotten charged within 24 hours for 38mm Blue orders in the last two days.

Yeah I thought about that too. There are people who ordered a 38mm blue April 10 later that day and are in the May/June shipping times. Some of those orders haven't shipped, yet they're sending out orders placed on the 23rd for just anyone? It makes no sense and feels like a skip of the line if that were the case.

Registered, non-paid developer. I'm trying this too. I placed my order for a 42mm Blue SB about an hour and a half ago. Processing right now and my CC pinged for $1, same as the other 2 watches I preordered. I'll update if anything changes.

Do you sit on the phone and learn that the dev priority program had not ended yet?

All the news that was going on before this thread had said the dev priority had ended days ago.

Nope

I ordered one last night at 8PM EST. Just got the shipping notification and it'll be here tomorrow. I'd actually forgotten I was a registered developer...

I wonder if that's actually the reason it shipped so quickly.

I ordered one last night (4/23) at 9:11p EDT, nada so far.

If you go this route, you'll have the blue band until you can swap them out at an Apple Store or you receive bands ordered from Apple, both of which probably have the same amount of wait time.

I was going to do this but I don't want to wear a blue band so I'm just going to stick it out for my space gray with black bands.

Placed an order for 42mm blue band sport this morning, after seeing a video I kinda like the blue band. I am a registered free dev for a few years now so let's see. I have been hit on my card for apple care so far. Purchased via Apple pay from the app.

I ordered a 42mm sport blue on Friday afternoon using the Apple Store app on my iphone. I now have a shipping estimate of "14th May to 20th of May".

Update shipping for Blue 42mm Sport ETA 2-3 weeks... May 14-20 this "executive" the op talked to was incorrect.

My space grey, 38mm is eta a week after that, so I'll probably cancel this one after the "magic" 27th dev priority date.

Yep, turns out the OP was wrong. I placed my order the day he made this thread, I am an active developer, and I ordered as he said and my window is delivers May 14 - May 21.

Then you must be unlucky. Almost everyone on this thread has ordered and had theirs ship within 48 hours.

For the 38mm models, which I suspect was because no one was buying the blue 38mm not that there was any priority.

Like I said I'll wait until the 27 to cancel and see if my ship date and processing status changes but it's not looking this way.

I did the exact same thing. I ordered a 42mm blue sport last Friday afternoon and I am a Paid Developer so I will give till the tomorrow morning and if no immediate ship happens I will cancel as I HATE the blue color...I just did it to get it this week.

:(

totally untrue!

I am a paid developer so far there is no movement by Wed I will cancel. No harm no foul. And I am sure the day after I cancel they will start shipping.

My status just changed to shipped! :D

It appears to be UPS Standard Shipping according to the Apple Store app and I have a UPS tracking number. The UPS site can't see my tracking number yet.

I am very excited. It looks like the OP was telling the truth!

I just saw this thread AFTER I placed an order for 42 blue last 4/25. Do you think I should cancel and re-order? Or will they do a check again?

I ordered a Green sport 38 yesterday, shipped today. Go figure. I'll have it on the 29th.

That gives me some hope. I'm in a similar boat to you. I ordered the 42 Blue Sport on Saturday afternoon, and got the EOD updating me to May 14-20th today. Hopefully I'll see an update soon.

I saw that one person who says they got the dev lottery selection email got the EOD today, as well, even after being guaranteed a 4/28 ship date.

I am kind of jealous of those that took a risk on green and it paid off. I like that green band :)
