That gives me some hope. I'm in a similar boat to you. I ordered the 42 Blue Sport on Saturday afternoon, and got the EOD updating me to May 14-20th today. Hopefully I'll see an update soon.

I saw that one person who says they got the dev lottery selection email got the EOD today, as well, even after being guaranteed a 4/28 ship date.

I am kind of jealous of those that took a risk on green and it paid off. I like that green band :)

I originally ordered green one was well as the an non space black sport with a black band is not possible. After seeing this thread, I immediately canceled my green order and went for a blue.

First thing I do when I get my mine is go get a black band at the store.

My status just changed to shipped! :D

It appears to be UPS Standard Shipping according to the Apple Store app and I have a UPS tracking number. The UPS site can't see my tracking number yet.

I am very excited. It looks like the OP was telling the truth!

well you have given me some hope! I checked my order and no change so far.

I ordered mine Friday afternoon and I am a paid Developer.

I'll likely keep the blue band. I'm from the Swatch Watch generation, so the colors are nostalgic to me.

I wonder if there's any more devs that got the selection email that could chime in with their experience.

Just placed an order for this blue band. I have a Space Gray ordered as well. I'll cancel whichever comes second. I was considering the silver aluminum with white band anyways. Just pick up a white band for this guy and call it good.

Mine says it will ship in June.

So just to clarify, this could only be taken advantage of IF you are a paid developer AND you received one of these randomly generated emails?

I'm a paid dev making apps as a career and did not receive one of these emails. I went ahead and ordered the blue band sport anyways but my estimate says June.

Thoughts?

If you read the OP post it should clarify on what we are all hoping for.

I'm a paid developer and I ordered last Friday 38mm Blue Sport Band and absolutely no movement from processing. Says delivers by May 21-May 28. :(

TL;DR FOR THE LAZY:
Order an Apple Watch Sport 42mm w/ Blue Band if you're a "developer", paid subscription or not. You'll probably get it shipped by the 28th.

If you can't wait any longer, I recently spoke to Apple Developer Executive Relations and they gave me more exciting news. I know - hilarious, this seems to be a trend lately.

If you're a registered developer, you can order a 42mm Silver Aluminum Case with Blue Sport Band before April 27th, 5:00 PM local time and the watch will ship on or before April 28th.

The interesting bit that most don't know - A paid membership is not required. So if you have ever been involved in the developer program and are able to sign in with your Apple ID at the developer Member Center, the offer applies to you.

He also told me that this is why some of the blue sport orders are shipping early, despite the fact they were ordered so recently. It's actually because they were ordered recently. When someone orders this model from now until the 27th, the Apple Online Store checks to see if the Apple ID the order is under is associated with a Developer ID.

So these expedited shipping reports are "coming from people who are unaware that the free developer program they enrolled in provides them access", the executive told me. He also said the June shipping date for this model doesn't apply to those this offer applies to, despite it still listing "June" as the delivery estimate on the completed order.

He further explained that the registration for the expedited order simply signed the developer up on the email list. This "winning" notification email was sent out to everyone who had registered.

He went on to say that, currently, registration IS NOT REQUIRED to receive expedited shipping. They cut off registration to avoid disappointment if they couldn't meet demand, but they are still effectively meeting demand for this offer. Haha, lottery.

I just placed my order this morning, am not a paid developer, but am enrolled in the developer program. My watch is now preparing for shipment.

Chime in for further validation!

Are you a subscription-less developer that's ordered a blue sport and received next day turnaround shipping?

well....I wish that this was true for me. I never received a ship notice so I am cancelling now...:(

The prophecy has materialized for me. I am the proud owner of an Apple watch.

I wish a quick delivery for those that are still holding on.

Still processing for me... :( Between that and the fact that my eBay watch missed its scheduled delivery today (Stuck at a damn usps sort facility)... I think the apple watch hates me...

I have a paid developer account. Didn't receive one of those random emails. But they did bump my blue and my white watches from June, to mid May.
