In MR's defence, I prefer this type of website monetisation to super-invasive ads -- this service, distributed to the tech-savvy audience via MR does actually have the potential to be useful to us, the readers, in a much less annoying way than ad banners, for example...
But if the prices aren't right and this is a rip-off, you failed to seize the opportunity.

These type of sites prey on ppl that don’t know any better. I can sell my X phone for $800 right now. They are offering $500 for the same phone. But for those who don’t any better. They pretty much fleece them out of their devices. lol

$15 for a mint condition iPad 2 where Best Buy on a good day will pay $55. No thanks but the link at least makes for good click-bait.

This is offering me $110 for my 42mm Series 3 Nike GPS. Same watch, Apple is offering $175...

And this is how they make money.
You can sell a 42mm series 3 Nike watch for $250 here in NYC. $300-$350 for LTE (of course all of these prices vary based on condition, accessories and original box).

Offers $60 for my iPhone SE which I can sell for $200 on craigslist. This only makes sense if the phone is damaged.

$490? I just sold my 256GB X on Facebook marketplace for $750 in less than 8 hrs... Probably could have gotten more based on it's condition, with a little more time.

$240 for my mint unlocked 128gb 7+

That's more than I paid for it, but a 256 XS will cost me $1100 plus tax. So I could sell them my phone and still pay about $1000 to get an XS. NUTS.

Or you could sell your phone privately. Prices vary by city. Mine sold in 1 day for $550 (iPhone 7+ 128GB unlocked Jet Black - mint condition). Right now, the prices have really fallen because people are dumping their iPhone X's on the market for $600!!!!

I checked for my iPad pro and there is no tab where to put that has cellular . I don't think they are serious or they need to fix it

You would have been better off stating "what about the children?" No one is preyed upon. There are tons of sites offering buy back programs. Anyone looking to avail themselves of that type of service is going to shop around. 14 times out of 10 they're going to choose another more well known vendor that pays more. Even the most naive babe in the woods knows how to comparison shop online.

Of course I expected this! What would be a day here at MR without people complaining about something? This is optional obviously and not the absolute best price you can get, but only to appraise what you have. Did you really think you're gonna get $650 for a 6 plus? I mean seriously?? Do people expect to get paid the SAME amount, if not MORE, they paid for their 4 year old device? This is pretty funny and made me lmao!

It's not even about that. It's MacRumors showing their greed similar to Apple. They want to make as much money as possible off us who are in turn making them rich through ads. It's bad enough they advertise it on the front page but then they double down with a post to make sure it is all in your face. It is a little much. I'm here for the rumors that they basically copy from 9to5 but I have to navigate through the slop to get to the substance.

As for the prices, they could offer something a little more. I know how it goes though, buy cheap and turn around and sell high, so I guess I'm not shocked. Hell, Apple offered me $25 for my perfectly working Apple Watch Stainless Steel Series 0 which is absurd. Why not just slap me in the face while you are at it?
