Apple is offering my $220 for my aluminum S3, and these guys are offering $120. No brainer for me.

It's simple. If you more money for your iPhone, advertise and sell it privately. My Iphone is not worth my effort to sell and I'd rather keep it as a backup when you see the cost of new iPhones.

What the heck? Are they tripping balls? Offered me $250 for a slightly damaged maxed out late '13 15" MBP. I could sell this on craigslist for over $1000 without breaking a sweat. What a joke.

Competitive pricing.... are you guys joking? Firs this is an ad. Second seems to be a program MR started by the branding, third you're both fleecing and lying to your audience, a tech savvy one at that.

Totally, the most important part is "tech savvy". I would rather trade to Apple that these guys.

Samsung will give you £350 for an iphone 7 32gb against an s9 64gb dual sim. That's a proper trade in !

Craigslist and eBay offer you the chance to get competitive prices. These companies usually do not.

Personally, I would rather sell in person to have cash in hand. I don’t want to take the risks of fraud with Apple products on eBay. And If that means I take a cut by selling locally in person, I’m perfectly fine with that.

This is offering me $210 for my iPhone 7 Plus. Same iPhone, Apple is offering $285...
But, but, but...

Is Apple handing you $285 cold cash? Or offering $285 store credit in some form?

If the latter (with no cold cash offered), since Apple makes at least 35% gross margin overall, the true value to Apple is .65 x $285 = $185.25 of "cash equivalence".

Rule of thumb to live by: cold cash always rules.

[I am not advancing the opinion that "$285 is fair value" for your 7Plus. Not at all. But I am advancing the opinion that Apple is even greedier.]

You do realize apple products hold their value way better then any other brand right? A 256GB 8+ is going for $800 on Swappa and people are selling theirs the day it goes up.

So people are allowed to note that this is a horribly ****** deal.

Of course I expected this! What would be a day here at MR without people complaining about something? This is optional obviously and not the absolute best price you can get, but only to appraise what you have. Did you really think you're gonna get $650 for a 6 plus? I mean seriously?? Do people expect to get paid the SAME amount, if not MORE, they paid for their 4 year old device? This is pretty funny and made me lmao!

I understand what you're saying. It all depends where you find the best value for your phone. All I was saying is that this was posted here as an "option" for you to consider, if you so choose, to sell them your device. If not, then more power to you if you can sell your 5 year old phone for more than what you paid for. The expectations here for the "value" of the device were unrealistic.

Haha, $180 for my stainless steel series 3. Apple offers $250. Craigslist is $350ish. This is like a cash for gold store but electronics. Pawn store prices for your old tech.

Anyone who has an iPhone 6 that has no value I'm looking for one on the cheap. Thx

$165 off for a 42mm SS? Apple is offering $250 and even that offer is criminal. I'd crush it with a rock before I gave it to those thieves.

Unrealistic? You do realize that there are other sites, including Apple, which offer at least 20% more today? Sure this is an option, but as several are posting its the worst option in a sea of bad options. And I am not talking selling it yourself, I’m talking online sites in the exact same business. Money today.

Seems to be competitive with similar style services like Gazelle, Apple’s own giveback, and others. This is the low stress way to sell where you don’t have to deal with potential returns, or (potentially) fraud.

Personally I still prefer working locally on CL, or via Swappa.

If by competitive you mean a lowball of at least 20% less than Apple, or in my Apple watch series 3 50% less, then yes it’s ‘competitive’. But I call it a ‘rip off.’ Sorry.

first I get an offer of 80 from Best Buy and now and offer of 120 from this crap site when I got an offer of 225 from apple for my series 3 cell 42 watch it has apple care on it so I'm selling it myself locally I guess

$60 for a fully-working/mint 64 GB unlocked SE? I understand it's not new, nor current, but that's pawnshop-grade robbery.

I have an iPhone 6 64GB Space Grey and a iPhone 6s Silver 64GB over here collecting dust in perfect condition...... Get at me and let's talk numbers.....
I'm talking to some locals on letgo and offerup selling their iPhone SE devices below $80, seeing which one will give me the best price, can you beat that price with your 6? Thx.
