Other Gold isn’t popular at all this year?

Even though both are great I think Midnight Green will be difficult to match with non-ostentatious colors (after browsing Apple's leather cases and seeing mockups). Gold is, at least, subtle ostentatious :p in a dark case

I think you're going to prefer the Gold, the MG is so radically different. I would probably like it initially because of its weirdness, but green only looks good in the forest, grass and trees. Oh yeah and emeralds!

Same here, the green is the first new color I’ve liked on apple phones for years. Plus lots of camera gear comes in that color. As a photog I’ve always been drawn to this type of “military” or “outdoor” green color. I think it looks fantastic and manly.

I also think the green is more of a "guy" color. Think camo, hunting, forest, etc.

I think the new Gold is the best color and my choice. It just looks rich and glam. I have the XS Max in Gold right now.

It has lost demand because the damn thing never appears gold in any light. Even space grey(true black) will occasionally look grey under the right light. Gold either looks pink, cream, peach, or copper, but never gold. Hell even silver will look a bit gold once in a great while.

I’ve reserved an iPhone 11 Pro in gold, coming from a space grey iPhone 8. I’ve always had black-backed iPhones (mainly because I hated the white bezels) but now my new phone is bezel-less I thought I’d switch it up and go for gold. I like space grey but I’m a little bored of it. Don’t like the silver or the new green colour.

Lol I don’t think you’re totally wrong. Luckily I love pink, cream, peach and copper ;) I’m excited to see what the shade will actually look like this year, it’s always different

Really? Maybe you have gold color blindness? Mine looks Gold all the time

I do want to see the Midnight Green in person, but I'm pretty sure I will prefer the New Gold.
 
I’m a female and got the midnight green myself. I guess like some on here have said, it’s “different”. I’ve always had silver and gold or rose gold in the past so it’ll be my first “darker” variation so I’m excited.

Plenty of 11 Pro variants still available on Verizon for delivery on the 20th, with most of the 11 Pro Max variants only delayed until the 27th. This is more than 30 hours after pre order started. So no real supply issue, even if ordering today.
 
I have the XS Max in Gold. I still think it’s beautiful. The Gold looks different this year, like a return to the champagne gold color of previous years. Not my preference.

I went Silver because I really like the frosted white back of the 11 Pro. I had a case with a frosted look on my Silver 8 Plus that I loved, so it’s nice to have it on the actual phone itself. Bonus is that my AW is SS, so I’m returning to matching Watch and iPhone.

Midnight green isn’t bad, but midnight blue would have had me first in line. I’d love to see a deep burgundy (Garnet?/Midnight Red?) color offered as well.

I’m the opposite to you: I’ve always had the darker variation (always had space grey), so I’m looking forward to having a lighter colour. :D

Me too, Midnight Blue would have hooked me.

MG and SG are hot. Gold and Silver are not. My impressions from looking at availability for local pickup. And these make sense, I think.
