I was stocked on the Gold last year but it was not gold enough for me personally. Lived with it for a year, but onto midnight green now.

I love the look of camo...but I got the gold this year. Two years ago I had the Rose Gold & loved it...went to Space Grey last year & now trying the gold.

Same as me! I had a 7+ in rose gold then an X in space grey. Excited for the gold!

I rocked the gold XS Max and AW4 SS gold for a year. They look great together for either sex, male here. I was reluctant but put the AW up for sale and I’m on IUP for silver pro max

The Gold XS was a disappointment. Apple made it look like real gold (obviously aesthetics only) and in person the phone’s colour was very influenced by light, it would look creamy brown, silver, rose gold, pink, yellowish... everything but the colour that they showed of.

cant it also be that apple calculated early adopters might buy more gold units than other colors? they might have made more of them.

theres a big group of consumers with disposable income that still love gold handsets.

It looks like the Rose Gold 11 Pro is still the only available option for the launch day delivery/pickup. The most popular ones are Silver and Midnight Green in all configurations and pushed back to October 7-14.

I got my XS Max in gold last year, and I still think the color is absolutely stunning. I love the gold stainless steel band, and the gold glass back. But something about the 11 Pro Gold back just looks off to me, I didn’t find it as appealing so I went with the midnight green ‍♂️

FYI, if you don’t care about color, looks like you can still get a gold 11 Pro on launch day still to this moment, and I think the Pro Max too. Funny thing is, silver and space gray are still back ordered till October along with midnight green of course. Gold used to be the most popular color, but I guess it’s losing its appeal now.

In my opinion, the XS gold looked great, the 11 Pro gold looks like an iPhone 6s.

Could be why nobody wants it.

I never liked the gold, but I seriously considered the green before going with the silver, yet again. The green is really nice, and a new color for iPhones.

The triple cameras will make it clear, no matter the color.

Green was good at best, IMO.

For me it looked too much like a device meant for the warzone instead of a business meeting.

I used to think gold items were for old dudes. Then I got older and started appreciating the class of gold and bought a gold Apple Watch and have loved it. Just ordered my first gold iPhone to match. Always been black devices in the past.

I’m in the same position as you. Usually have space grey, as always had iPhones with bezels and hated the white front of the other colours. Now I’m getting my first bezel-less iPhone, I’ve gone for gold for a change. Just a bit bored of space grey.

While the frame and buttons may be polished Gold color the back is pink-peach. Not exactly what people want

I personaly myself bought a iPhone 11 Pro Max in Gold with 512 GB. I think its a lovely color and I'm coming from an iPhone SE. My friend got the XS last year in gold and i was instantly in love with it. I just guess people are buying the new green color cause they want to get seen with the new iPhones in their hands. Just unlucky when the theifs also sees it, ahah :D :p <3

I was really disappointed with Green when they revealed it. Personally I would have liked to have Rose Gold (Pink) back but I tried to get my hands on Green but my upgrade messed up. Why did I try to get Green even though I'm disappointed with? I am just sick of black and white phones. I wonder if the matte finish will make me think differently but I just couldn't do Silver or Grey again-I'm just sick of looking at it. So I wanted Green because it's different. Ended up only being able to get a Gold Max Pro. I don't like Gold but I like this Gold better than the previous Gold. I ended up getting a Saddle Brown case which it looks nice with.

We don't know how many gold phones are available though. Maybe its been really popular in the past so they've made more available this time?

I guess its one of those things we'll never know because Apple don't do stats.

I went with gold after having a gold xs max. I’m actually not that crazy about the gold because it’s not really gold. It’s like a flesh colour. My absolute favorite colour is green but too me the midnight green looks worn out ashy black with green under tones. I wish they went lighter. I told my self I would need to see it person when I pick up my gold on to see if I want to switch to the green one. White and silver were never an option to me and I’ve have a black or space grey iPhone since my first iphone.

I don’t think gold has ever been the most popular colour choice. I’d bet my life that production numbers of both space grey and silver are at least double - hence gold selling out faster.
Yeah, I think neutral colors are the best sellers, but there was a very high demand for gold the first year they offered it (5s in 2013). That was the year we had to wait in line if we wanted a launch-day phone and a lot of Apple Stores only got two gold phones.

I almost went for the green until seeing the pictures of it scratching so easily
I’d like to know where you’ve seen those pictures. I’ve been looking for images of the green iPhone in the wild to see how different light affects the colour. Fancy sharing ?

Yep, I remember that as well. And I think the rose gold in the 6S was super popular too.

This is only valid when you start from the false preposition that Apple is making 25% white, 25% black, 25% green and 25% gold phones, which they don't. So you can't really say anything absolute about what colors are populair and which aren't.

I didn’t say anything about what percentages apple is making? I’m just going based on the fact that gold iPhones are still available on launch day and the other colors aren’t, and that gold was one of the ones to sell out in years past..
