Just wondering bc Safari is not very nice to my SE’s battery life on 11.0.1. I know Safari probably can’t be beat in terms of battery because it’s made by Apple but is there any third party browsers that are somewhat light on battery life?

We have SE phones here as well, and Safari on iOS 11 has been just fine.

It's hard to beat Safari, true.
You may try Dolphin and how it affects your battery life.

I’ll try it soon. Haven’t used it in a while.

    It's worth a try.
I have used it on my Tablets, but not lately.
    Good luck!

Personally I find that a terrible browser. In the past I've had nothing but memory leaks with it and pages not loading correctly. Felt very beta compared to Safari doing it simply right almost all the time.

Any other suggestions beside Safari though?

I'm planning to give Chrome another chance even though it will probably hurt battery.[IMG]

You might also want to try using a content/ad blocker (which only would work with Safari when it comes to iOS), as that might help with some data/battery usage too.

How have you concluded that Safari is hurting your battery life so badly?

Poor battery life is usually caused by a combination of things.

Safari has access to native iOS features to save power and improve performance that other browsers on iOS do not.

if your safari is not great for battery try a clean install.
