Good Bye iPhone and Apparently Macrumors too!!

Guys, I have been an apple fan for almost 6 years now...From Macbook pro to iPhone, apple tv, iPod, iPad and iMac, I have it all. The problem is with my iPhone. I have using iPhone for 4 years all the way from 3G to and now iPhone 4 for almost 1 year now and I have been using it with TMobile thinking it will one day use the 3G service by either TMobile upgrading their services or AT&T acquiring them. It doesn't seem like any of the 2 will ever happen. I am sorry to say, I will not be going to AT&T as I already hate them.

I am paying 3G unlimited internet from TMobile for 3 years and have never used a bit of it since it was only edge starting from iPhone 3G.

Today, one of my friend came home to show me his windows 7.5 and I hate to admit that i felt like a year behind in speed due to the fact I cannot use any of his feature on iPhone.

Lastly, I will miss coming here to this site and this forum as there are number of helpful people who taught me a lot of things ( special thanks to Apple juice)

I will be back once I will see iPhone coming to TMobile or any merger, in short, I had to take it out as it was really hard to go to windows as I used to be the only person always supporting Mac.

So lemme get this straight, you hate AT&T, you love T-Mobile and want to use 3G speeds with you iPhone (incapable on T-mobile now), so your hopes were for AT&T to swallow up T-Mobile in order to get 3G? So the only way you move to AT&T is if they merge with T-mobile? Yet you won't go directly to AT&T because you "already hate them". That's some of the most convoluted thinking I seen in a long time.

Because AT&T isnt very good in my area. Drops calls alot and costs more.Those who pay more just to say they are on AT&T imo just dont make any sense. LOL, really? T-Mobile is beneath you?
I suppose you buy your jeans at Saks 5th avenue or Dillards instead of Kohls or Walmart even though they are the same but cost much more. Now theres a sound decision.

Hey i dont care how you spend your money Less crowding on our network...but you do know that T-Mobile has a better 3G and HSPA+ than AT&T ...right? AT&T had to step up their network after they filed for a merger because it wasnt as good and it didnt look good for them and their reason why they said T-Mobile was a company going downhill which in fact, wasnt true at all and one of the many reasons the merger isnt going to go thru.

It's a big difference in amounts, no doubt. T-Mobile does have a lot of perks, but I prefer having a signal everywhere I go over having a huge amount of cheap minutes that I will never use.

That being said, nothing wrong with using T-Mobile if it suits your needs.

Agree. T-Mobile has horrible coverage.

GF switched from T-Mobile to AT&T this year.

I wish you had read my whole thread. I have been using iPhone ever since 3G came out with TMobile. The only way to do that was to jailbreak and unlock. I still have the lowest 1.59.01 baseband unlocked with ultrasnow. The problem is I cannot enjoy any of my other gadget due to this stupid TMobile thing.

Facetime doesnt work or I have to tweak but its not that supportive
Cant sync preodically caz I might update the basband in accident
Cant upgrade to iOS 5 caz tethered JB or unlock is not out
Cant use 3G

there are many more.

If you really think t-mo is better on all accounts then by all means stay with them. ATT will not be approved to buy t-mo so it looks like you will be on their crap network for a long time.

To me all the carriers suck. One place carrier A is good another place carrier B is good & back & forth. Its weird that in the urban area I live att sucks, but I go out to the boonies where my wife's aunt & uncle & I get the best reception you could ask for. Eh, whatever.

I know what he is talking about. If AT&T bought T-Mobile then he'd be able to bring his sweet T-Mobile pricing to AT&T.

I switched to AT&T recently because I was tired of waiting for the iPhone to come to T-Mobile. If they get the iPhone I'll be switching back to them no matter what ETF's I have to pay AT&T.

Cool... not something that I would expect on a forum as (and I hate to be mean) no one really cares. Hopefully you will find the iPhone useful once it is on T-Mobile (again, I really do not care).
